Meet Kelly Lott

We recently connected with Kelly Lott and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Kelly, really happy you were able to join us today and we’re looking forward to sharing your story and insights with our readers. Let’s start with the heart of it all – purpose. How did you find your purpose?
In 2006, I lost my mother, who was my best friend. Two nights after she died, she came to me in a dream telling me about a treatment that could help people with migraines. I was a massage therapist for almost 25 years and loved to help people in pain. The method was using cold marble stones and aromatherapy to help change the neurological and vascular parts of the migraine.

I felt so strongly from her to investigate this treatment to see if it would work and I could help people alleviate their headaches.

After a year of research and implementing the pieces to the treatment, I practiced it on migraine sufferers, and they told me their headaches were gone in seconds to minutes.

I knew then this was my purpose, the idea coming from my mom and I was actually able to help.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
I have been married for 33 years, no children but have always had dogs. We have a 5 year old Chorkie who keeps us very busy.

I became a massage therapist in 1990 specializing in massaging high risk pregnant women and babies in the NICU. This was such a pleasure it was hard to call it work. I used to massage 25 pregnant women every week, until they gave birth. I was invited to attend and help birth 10 babies into this world in all different ways of birth. Naturally, hospital settings, water birth and a C-section. This was such an incredible joy for me to witness the birth of babies and to be able to help her during labor.

In 2007 I created Migraine Miracle, a natural treatment to eliminate or reduce the pain of migraine headaches. I was trademarked, and copyrighted. I taught this treatment all over the country to massage therapists to perform on their clients at massage conferences and massage schools. It was a very popular class, usually standing room only and maxed out on attendees. 1 in 4 people suffer with migraines, and are looking for a more natural way to get rid of it versus taking drugs.

This treatment can also be done to yourself, if people cannot go see a massage therapist. I have videos on Youtube under Migraine Miracle, that shows how to do it.

The Discovery channel also interviewed me and I have that video on Youtube as well.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
I have always enjoyed helping people who are in pain with my massage therapy, or helping the elderly as their care giver. It brings me much joy to do both.

These qualities have come to me naturally, I have not had to manufacture it. I am a woman of faith, so I know in my soul that God has guided me into these areas and helped me prosper.

You must be able to listen, give advice when appropriate and be loyal and professional at all times.

What is the number one obstacle or challenge you are currently facing and what are you doing to try to resolve or overcome this challenge?
Over the past few years, pharmaceutical companies are developing drugs to eliminate migraines. My treatment is all natural and it gets to the heart of the triggers that cause them. Drugs do not do this, it is a short term way to eliminate the pain. So many people have told me they hate the side effects of some of these drugs, they can be quite alarming. Also Botox is hailed to help, but very dangerous to the body. I’ve had women tell me they prefer the pain over how they feel on the drugs.

However, my treatment takes more time than popping a pill. Many just want to take it and hope it brings relief quickly. As a massage therapist, I will always want to bring relief naturally and find the core reason for the pain. There is always something that can be done without taking a drug.

I have a website where I write a blog to let people know about the treatment and how to use it. Also write on my Facebook page. Getting the word out is the hardest to do without a huge amount of money to advertise.
