We recently connected with Kelsey Daingerfield and have shared our conversation below.
Kelsey, we’re thrilled to have you on our platform and we think there is so much folks can learn from you and your story. Something that matters deeply to us is living a life and leading a career filled with purpose and so let’s start by chatting about how you found your purpose.
I always knew I had a purpose. Back in college, I told myself, One day, I’ll be a COO—but not in black slacks and a suit. I’ll be in jeans, a blazer, and sneakers (or heels), helping change the world. Fast forward 15 years, and here I am doing just that—but in my own business, which I didn’t even see as possible until I became a mom.
When I had my son, I got that “there has to be more” feeling. I dove into books and started asking, What else is out there? But it wasn’t until I was pregnant with my daughter that I went all in. I realized my purpose wasn’t just about career success—it was about being an amazing woman, wife, and mom.
I didn’t want to work 40+ hours a week just because that’s expected. As I focused on my business, it became clear that my ability to see the big picture and identify gaps in businesses was something I could help others with. I help my clients gain back their time so they can be present with their families, work less, and still earn well.
I grew up with a dad who traveled constantly for work, missing family moments. We’re incredibly close to this day, and I’m so proud of everything he did for us. But I also know what he missed out on, and I’ve made it my mission to stop people from having to choose between work and life. Work and life are a blend—and I’m here to help people design that blend the way they want.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
I’m the founder of PocketCOO, where I work with multi-six- and seven-figure business owners to help streamline their operations, reclaim their time, and scale without burning out. What I do is unique because I don’t just give advice from a distance—I get involved, roll up my sleeves, and help businesses bridge the gap between strategy and real, sustainable execution.
What excites me most is seeing the shift in my clients when they realize they can have both a thriving business and a life they love. For many, they start out feeling stuck in the weeds, overwhelmed by day-to-day tasks, and unsure of how to scale. But when I help them implement systems that free up their time and energy, they can finally step into the CEO role they’ve been dreaming of. That’s the magic for me—the transformation from burnout to balance.
Right now, I’m especially focused on expanding my Business Snapshot offering—a personalized assessment designed to uncover key opportunities for efficiency and growth. This tool is a great first step for anyone who’s feeling stretched thin but isn’t sure where to start. It helps identify immediate areas for improvement, so business owners can take action and move forward with confidence.
PocketCOO is all about helping business owners build sustainable success without sacrificing what matters most. If you’re ready to take your business to the next level and finally create a balance between work and life, I’d love to connect with you.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Building a business and a career is a continual learning process. Over the years, I’ve discovered that there are certain qualities and skills that have made all the difference in helping me navigate challenges, seize opportunities, and stay true to my vision. If I could pinpoint the three most impactful aspects of my journey, they would be:
1. Adaptability & Resilience:
One of the most impactful qualities on my journey has been the ability to adapt to change and bounce back from challenges. When I made the leap from corporate to running my own business, things didn’t always go as planned. There were moments of doubt and uncertainty. But I kept moving forward because I knew there was a bigger picture. Resilience helped me push through those tough times, and adaptability allowed me to find creative solutions when things weren’t going as expected.
Advice: If you’re early in your journey, understand that failure and setbacks are part of the process. Embrace them, learn from them, and keep moving forward. The ability to adapt and recover is something you can develop over time by staying curious and open to change.
2. Strategic Thinking & Problem Solving:
The ability to see the big picture and break down complex problems into manageable tasks has been key to my success. I’ve always been able to identify the core issues that are holding businesses back and create actionable plans to address them. This skill has been crucial in building a sustainable business for myself and my clients.
Advice: Focus on developing a strategic mindset from the start. Learn to ask the right questions, challenge assumptions, and focus on the long-term goals while handling the day-to-day. It’s a skill that gets stronger the more you practice it, so don’t rush the process.
3. Empathy & Building Relationships:
Building strong relationships with clients, teams, and partners has been essential to my journey. Having a genuine interest in others, listening actively, and understanding their needs has helped me guide them effectively and build trust. It’s also allowed me to create a supportive network that has been vital to my success.
Advice: Early on, prioritize developing your people skills. Networking, building rapport, and listening can’t be overlooked. Building strong relationships and understanding different perspectives will help you grow faster and learn from others who are ahead of you in their journey.
These qualities have been crucial in shaping my business and personal growth. If you’re just starting out, focus on building a strong foundation in these areas. The more you develop them, the more you’ll set yourself up for long-term success.

Who is your ideal client or what sort of characteristics would make someone an ideal client for you?
My ideal client is someone who is driven to grow both personally and professionally but also values balance and doesn’t want to sacrifice their time at home or their personal life. They understand that growing their business doesn’t have to come at the cost of burnout or missing out on family time.
They tend to be decisive, open to feedback, and not afraid to try new things. They recognize that sometimes the key to scaling is about leveraging the right people and systems, rather than doing everything themselves. They also tend to be action-oriented, always willing to invest in what will make their business and life more efficient, even if it means stepping outside their comfort zone.
If you’re someone who’s ready to prioritize both growth and personal time—while being open to guidance and new ideas—we’re a great fit.
