Meet Kelsey Rose

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Kelsey Rose. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Kelsey below.

Kelsey, so great to be with you and I think a lot of folks are going to benefit from hearing your story and lessons and wisdom. Imposter Syndrome is something that we know how words to describe, but it’s something that has held people back forever and so we’re really interested to hear about your story and how you overcame imposter syndrome.

I think imposter syndrome is definitely something all entrepreneurs struggle with throughout their journey. One thing I do to overcome it is remind myself that I am just a mindset shift away from having a different outlook and believing that I am exactly where I’m meant to be. I earned it! I work hard and I’ve come a long way. Reminding myself of all of these things really helps get me back to an elevated mindset.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

I am a wellness trainer and creator and I’ve recently made the move from Toronto to Miami – I love it here! I focus mainly on my wellness app shaep which is an on-demand platform that offers follow-along workouts and mindfulness along with healthy recipes and meal plans. We host monthly challenges for our community to keep them accountable and motivated to show up to their mat. I truly am so passionate about what I do! I also teaching monthly beach pilates classes at Faena Miami Beach to get my dose of IRL movement with others.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Work ethic – in order to be success you really do have to commit to the process. You will always have up’s and down’s but what’s most important is that you keep showing up!

Be open to opportunities – when first starting out, you need to start somewhere. If I didn’t take advantage of the opportunities that came my way when I was first starting out, I wouldn’t be where I am now. Be open minded and always take the call and the time to connect with others. You never know what will come from it!

Mindset – you need to believe in YOU!! You are your biggest motivator and you need to have positive self-talk to achieve your dreams. Believe that you can and you will and watch how your dreams begin to manifest into reality.

Before we go, maybe you can tell us a bit about your parents and what you feel was the most impactful thing they did for you?

Having me involved in sports when I was younger. If I wasn’t exposed to this as a child, I would have never developed the love for movement and being active. I was always on the go and encouraged to try out different activities. Once I graduated high school and went to university, I stopped playing organized sport but wanted to still be active and that’s when I fell in love with working out and the gym!
