We were lucky to catch up with Kendall Covitz recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Kendall, thanks for sharing your insights with our community today. Part of your success, no doubt, is due to your work ethic and so we’d love if you could open up about where you got your work ethic from?
My parents and grandparents have been incredible role models throughout my life. Both of my parents owned their own businesses, and my grandfather was a serial entrepreneur. Witnessing their dedication to both parenting and business growth has inspired me to carve my own path rather than conform to a standard 9-5 job. Now, as a parent to three young children, my drive has only intensified. I am constantly motivated to balance my time between nurturing my family and expanding my business.
Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?

Currently, we are diving deep into our sales process and creating a stronger focus on cold leads to scale faster.
There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Looking back, three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in my journey are:
Self-confidence: Not worrying about what others think of you can free you to pursue your vision and make bold decisions.
Resilience: Avoid taking things personally in business. This is an ongoing effort for me, but it’s crucial for maintaining objectivity and focus.
Efficiency: There are always ways to be more efficient and cost-effective while achieving great results. In today’s fast-paced world, this skill is invaluable.
For those early in their journey, my advice is to develop self-confidence by trusting your instincts and staying true to your goals. Blinders on!
Build resilience by learning from setbacks and taking swift action without letting them define you.
Lastly, constantly seek ways to optimize processes and resources to maximize output without overspending.
Any advice for folks feeling overwhelmed?
When overwhelmed, I find it essential to talk to someone. I have a great support system, including my consultant, Morgan Sutton, who has been a close confidant for 20 years. Morgan is just a voice note away during complicated or overwhelming moments. As a business owner, having someone to work closely with who can assist with business decisions and provide empathy is invaluable.
