Meet Kendel Boone

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Kendel Boone. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Kendel, we’ve been so fortunate to work with so many incredible folks and one common thread we have seen is that those who have built amazing lives for themselves are also often the folks who are most generous. Where do you think your generosity comes from?
I would say my generosity starts with how I was raised. My family has shown me it is not what you have verses what you give. If I have nothing else, I can give someone love without judgment and always treat people how you would like to be treated.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
My story started following in the footsteps of family. My brand consist of high school seniors, family portrait, senior citizens and street photography.

Capturing moments with my camera is more than snapping a picture. It is a storytelling and positive vibrations to clients while in your presence. The key is communication from beginning to end with everyone no matter the budget size. I would like people to know they will receive experience and consistent communication.

In the future, I would love to continue partnerships with Senior Living facilities – if there are any reading this article please reach out to me.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
In my journey of photography there were many things that assisted along the way but I think I can narrow some down. I found when I learned Exposure triangle was when my photos started to turn around. Initially, I had underexpose or overexposure challenges without learning it. The next two skills tie together; being able to network and knowing when to ask for help. When you start a business at times it feels overwhelming being every position. Be willing to network for resources and those resources can assist you with building your empire.

How can folks who want to work with you connect?
Collaboration can be an awesome tool when done correctly. I will be looking to partner with other photographers either virtually or in the Columbus area to bounce thoughts and ideas off of. I do this today with my current community and we execute with photo walks and other variety of activities.

I would also look to collaborate with models for upcoming projects.
