Meet Kendra Hall

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Kendra Hall. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Kendra below.

Hi Kendra, so great to have you on the platform. There’s so much we want to ask you, but let’s start with the topic of self-care. Do you do anything for self-care and if so, do you think it’s had a meaningful impact on your effectiveness?

The key to my productivity and enthusiasm lies deeply rooted in my commitment to self-care. It’s something I write about passionately in my books, Workout with Kendra and Keeping Your Vibes High. In Workout with Kendra, I share my personal fitness routines that do more than just keep me physically fit—they energize my spirit and sharpen my focus. This isn’t just about exercise; it’s about cultivating vitality that permeates every aspect of life.

Then, in Keeping Your Vibes High, I dive into the mental strategies that help sustain this energy. It’s a guide for anyone looking to maintain a positive outlook and manage stress effectively, which I’ve found to be crucial for adaptability and endurance. These strategies are the tools that keep me centered and driven, no matter what challenges I face.

This holistic approach to wellness has not only improved my health but has significantly enhanced my effectiveness. It allows me to approach each day with a clear mind and a buoyant heart, ready to inspire and uplift those around me. By taking care of myself, I’m better equipped to take care of others, making every interaction more meaningful and impactful.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

Thank you for the opportunity to share my story. I’m Kendra Hall, an advocate for transformative change and someone who believes in the power of storytelling to inspire and uplift. My journey began with overcoming life-altering challenges—teen pregnancy, homelessness, and domestic violence—experiences that ultimately shaped my passion for helping others find their own strength and purpose.

As the founder of Jewelz Foundation Inc., I lead programs that provide educational resources and mental health support to young people, helping them move toward a brighter future. Through Jewelz Ink, I work with both first-time writers and repeat authors to turn their personal and professional experiences into compelling, impactful books. And with my podcast, Survivor’s Jewelz, I offer a platform for individuals to share their stories of overcoming adversity. The podcast not only highlights personal victories but also inspires listeners to see the power of transformation and to embrace their own journeys with hope and courage.

My books, including Droppin Jewelz: Guiding Principles to Help Girls Live Their Best Life, Workout with Kendra, and Keeping Your Vibes High, offer straightforward, practical steps for personal wellness and growth. My upcoming book, Unbroken Jewelz, is especially significant. It’s a collection of real-life accounts that show how individuals have turned hardships into opportunities to create positive, lasting change. My hope is that this book will empower readers to see their challenges as pathways to a more meaningful and fulfilled life.

Through my work—whether it’s in writing, mentoring, podcasting, or community initiatives—I’m driven by the belief that everyone deserves a chance to grow, thrive, and transform. Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

Looking back on my journey, three key qualities stand out as having the most significant impact: adaptability, intentionality, and storytelling.

Adaptability: Life often throws challenges our way that require us to pivot quickly and find new paths forward. Being open to change, willing to learn from unexpected situations, and embracing new approaches have been essential. For those just starting out, I encourage developing the ability to listen to what’s happening around you, learning to spot opportunities in setbacks, and staying flexible in your plans.

Intentionality: Knowing your “why” and making decisions that align with your core values can keep you focused and grounded. For me, being clear about my mission—to empower others through education, mental health support, and sharing stories—has guided every step. For those early in their journey, spend time reflecting on what truly matters to you. Once you know what drives you, practice making deliberate, purpose-driven choices, even if they’re small at first. This helps build a strong foundation that will carry you forward.

Storytelling: The ability to communicate your experiences, insights, and goals in a way that resonates with others has been transformative. Sharing stories not only connects you with others but also helps them see the value in what you’re offering. For those starting out, focus on developing your voice. Practice telling your story in a way that highlights your unique perspective and the lessons you’ve learned. Over time, you’ll refine your ability to inspire and motivate others, building trust and creating lasting impact.

These three qualities—adaptability, intentionality, and storytelling—have shaped my path and allowed me to overcome challenges while staying true to my mission. I hope they serve as valuable guiding principles for those just beginning their own journeys.

How can folks who want to work with you connect?

Yes, collaboration is an important part of the work I do. I’m always interested in connecting with like-minded individuals and organizations that share a passion for empowering others and making a meaningful impact. I’m particularly drawn to partnering with those who specialize in areas such as youth development, mental health advocacy, and community outreach—fields that align closely with the mission of Jewelz Foundation Inc.

In addition, I’m eager to collaborate with talented writers, creative professionals, and thought leaders who can contribute fresh ideas and perspectives to ongoing projects. This includes individuals with experience in education, wellness, and storytelling, as well as professionals in related industries who are interested in creating resources, hosting workshops, or developing new programs.

If this sounds like you, I’d love to hear from you. The best way to get in touch is through the contact form on my website, droppinjewelz.com, or by reaching out to me directly via email: [email protected]

I look forward to exploring how we can work together to bring about positive change and empower even more individuals through collaboration.
