Hi Keneshia, appreciate you sitting with us today to share your wisdom with our readers. So, let’s start with resilience – where do you get your resilience from?

I draw my resilience from Christ. My faith has been the constant source of peace in every season. I’ve learned that true strength isn’t about pushing through on my own, but about surrendering to God and trusting His plan. When I face challenges, I go back to Scripture — verses like Philippians 4:13 or Isaiah 40:31 remind me that my endurance comes from Him. Christ has taught me that resilience is really about resting in His strength, not relying on my own.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

Heart Check is a God-led podcast — truly. Every episode, every topic, and even my motivation to get behind the mic is led by Him. Speaking publicly doesn’t come naturally to me, but God continues to push me out of my comfort zone because this platform isn’t about me — it’s about what He wants to do through me.
I gave my life to Christ about two years ago in my bedroom after having a real, undeniable encounter with Him. That moment completely changed everything. Since then, I’ve been on fire for God and passionate about helping others experience the same love, grace, and transformation that I did.
Through Heart Check, I create space for deep, honest conversations about faith, relationships, love, and real life — all through the lens of Scripture. It’s a place where we can talk about what’s really going on in our hearts and let God meet us there. My mission is simple: to lead others back to Him.
Looking ahead, I’m excited to continue growing Heart Check and collaborating with other Christian creators, churches, and platforms that share the same vision — to spread the gospel and encourage believers to live authentically for Christ. Whether it’s podcast episodes, live discussions, or future community events, I want everything connected to Heart Check to point people to Jesus.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

Looking back, I’d say the three qualities that have been most impactful in my journey are obedience, consistency, and faith.
Obedience has been the biggest one. When God called me to start Heart Check, it didn’t make sense at first — I wasn’t comfortable speaking publicly, and I didn’t feel qualified. But I’ve learned that obedience isn’t about feeling ready; it’s about trusting that God will equip you once you say yes. Every step I’ve taken in obedience has opened new doors and deepened my faith.
Consistency has also been key. There are days when creating content or staying motivated feels hard, but I remind myself that faithfulness in the small things matters. I’ve seen how showing up — even when no one’s watching — allows God to build something lasting.
And finally, faith. This whole journey has been about believing that God can use me even when I doubt myself. Faith keeps me grounded when results don’t come quickly and reminds me that it’s not about performance — it’s about purpose.
For anyone just starting their journey, I’d say: stay close to God. Pray before you plan, and let Him lead. Be obedient to the small nudges, stay consistent even when it’s quiet, and trust that your faith will grow as you walk it out. God doesn’t call the qualified — He qualifies the called.
