Meet Kennedee Devoe

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Kennedee Devoe. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Hi Kennedee, thanks for sharing your insights with our community today. Part of your success, no doubt, is due to your work ethic and so we’d love if you could open up about where you got your work ethic from?
I started working when I was fifteen years old. My parents instill the importance of being self- sufficient an early age. I take my work seriously and devote my time to going above and beyond what’s required of me from my clients. My passion for my craft means that I’ll complete tasks quickly and to the best of my ability. Being a business owner the skills I learned as an employee I have adapted as a business owner. One of the main skills I have acquired over the years are accountability, discipline, integrity, organization, and time management.

Accountability means I am able to manage my own work well without much oversight. Managing my time well is a key component of practicing discipline. Integrity for me is always doing the right thing no matter who is watching. Being well organized helps me get tasks done on time, communicating clearly with clients and setting proper expectations about my work. As a business owner you have to manage your time effectively. I am less likely to make mistakes due to rushing and not feel exasperated from hurrying.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

Every day will not be a good day but recognize the difference between a bad and a bad moment. Sometimes the moment turns into a whole day when the situation was not that stressful to begin, but you don’t know how to let go off the moment and just breathe.
