Meet Kenneth Allen

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Kenneth Allen. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Kenneth, so great to have you with us and we want to jump right into a really important question. In recent years, it’s become so clear that we’re living through a time where so many folks are lacking self-confidence and self-esteem. So, we’d love to hear about your journey and how you developed your self-confidence and self-esteem.

I created my confident dance by doing a lot of TFP shoots with friends families, and just random models that help me build my portfolio, but what really brought me to the next level was attending photography conference on where I was able to hear and even work with some of the best photographers in the world

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

I was forced into photography by my dad, it was around the fourth grade my dad went blind and he made me take photos of my older brothers during their sports events. for a long time I did not touch a camera, but I always comment on photos one Father’s Day, my son convinced my wife to buy me a camera, and I started doing photos for other people. I did a lot of TFP shoots and eventually did Senior Pictures for my nephew and realize this is something that I truly like doing. I got in connected with the company franchise box and became the photographer for their fashion shows and move on to doing weddings and events such as the NAACP Juneteenth gala where I was even able to photograph the Minnesota state governor . I am now a part of a studio in Saint Paul, which is going to help bring my photography to next level. See me in the future at fashion shows business, corporate events, and more.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Important qualities of being a photographer one getting to know the person you are photographing so the image tells their story understanding, lighting and just being a good person so whoever you photographing that they become and relax so that the ending picture is art and not just a photo

How can folks who want to work with you connect?

I would love to collaborate with other photographers models to help me grow to help them grow
