Hi Kenzie , so happy you were able to devote some time to sharing your thoughts and wisdom with our community. So, we’ve always admired how you have seemingly never let nay-sayers or haters keep you down. Can you talk to us about how to persist despite the negative energy that so often is thrown at folks trying to do something special with their lives?
The biggest thing to remember is not everyone is going to like you. The world is full of hateful people and people who wanna watch you just fail. So ignore it they don’t matter. You’re never gonna achieve anything or go anywhere if you care about what people think about you because at the end of the day well only your opinion about yourself should matter
Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
I work a lot in all aspects of fashion, music, and film. I spend a lot of my time as Actress on many different types of productions, doing different types of roles, ranging from back ground to lead from indie films to union productions. Im currently signed over ten agencies internationally as both a actress and a model. I spend a lot of my time traveling the country working on types of productions. Not to mention I do a lot of crew work in production as well i’m a producer for multiple companies and freelancing in the industry from Stratgrazer entertainment which is a Concert Promoter to stagehanding & PA work not to mention, I am the producer and director of a runway show in kansas city called the Geek Gala and i’m one of the producers in charge of a collective called the THEKCCONNET where we set up events in meetups for businesses and models to collaborate and learn from each other and this is just the tip of the iceberg of what I do
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Prioritize your networking & investing in your self. Because the more you prioritize investing in yourself and learning about your craft, even if you have years of knowledge, it makes people want invest in you hard work is noticed. And never be afraid to ask i’ve landed so many jobs just by asking
