We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Kerry-ann Marilyn, Nathalee Kelly a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Kerry-Ann Marilyn, Nathalee, so great to have you with us and we want to jump right into a really important question. In recent years, it’s become so clear that we’re living through a time where so many folks are lacking self-confidence and self-esteem. So, we’d love to hear about your journey and how you developed your self-confidence and self-esteem.

I develop my self esteem and confidence by reading, applying the word of God to my life. and trusting what he says about me, he has never failed me. I have also proven his word to be true. I had to get rid of the negative thoughts and start speaking positive things to myself. Practise healthy habits, eating properly and taking better care of myself emotionally, physically, spiritually. everyday I surround myself with positive and supportive individuals, who help to drive my dreams and aspiration. I learn from my mistakes and use them to create a better version of myself.,

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

I am a Teacher by profession, the Principal and Managing Director of Kerry’s Learning Centre and Resources. We are a Christ-centred and play-based learning institution that is passionate about nurturing young minds and shaping the future generation, to the glory of God. Our dynamic and dedicated team are committed to providing a stimulating and supportive learning environment for our future leaders continuously. Here we do our utmost best to facilitate children at the early childhood level to achieve their holistic development(spiritually, physically, intellectually, emotionally).

I create age-appropriate learning resources that are colourful, stimulating, safe, sturdy and of a reasonable so children can have hands on experience, be actively involved and grasp the concept being taught with each lesson. It is exciting to see the joy on their faces as they participate and have fun while learning takes place, the parents themselves express their appreciation.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

Three most important qualities include:
Being open to new knowledge and keeping abreast with changes that will improve the holistic development of children.
Being patient
Having the ability to communicate effectively with parents and children.
Having the passion for children

How can folks who want to work with you connect?

Yes I am seeking to partner with someone who is trained, capable, patient, love working with children and is interested in teaching PEP classes, I have the perfect accommodation, also there is a need for this type of service at the said location.
