Kerry “thekyleblue”, appreciate you making time for us and sharing your wisdom with the community. So many of us go through similar pain points throughout our journeys and so hearing about how others overcame obstacles can be helpful. One of those struggles is keeping creativity alive despite all the stresses, challenges and problems we might be dealing with. How do you keep your creativity alive?

I live with the belief of inspiration is all around us. A true creator has the ability to create and recreate. I like to be creative and tell engaging stories. I like to explore different type of approaches as I continue to seek innovation. I attend to small details and mechanics of it all and seeking improvements with my craft. I enjoy the execution of it all as I continue to challenge myself with creativity.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

Comic Book writer that is looking to expand with various stories for the casual reader. Background as on stage performer and Storyteller fusing comedy, poetry, and theatrics. Goal is to be engaging with stories with abstract approach for the casual.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

Main qualities I have are Clarity with language to audiences, element of surprise, and unique approach with creativity. Best advice to give is to know that inspiration is all around us. The true ability of a creator is create and recreate. I value the execution of an idea with goal of audience comprehending while finding their own interpretation of the idea of a story I have shared.

Looking back over the past 12 months or so, what do you think has been your biggest area of improvement or growth?

To become even more engaging and indulging in a new avenue of storytelling for me. Crafting a comic book story is fun and challenging as I learn to collaborate with illustrators. Growth in raising awareness of my storytelling to new audiences and expanding who I am as a storyteller.
