I found my purpose with my business when I fully gave my life to Jesus Christ. From that moment, I knew I wanted to do more than just cater to women like myself—I wanted to share the gospel through my work and make an impact in the lives of the women I serve. My goal with Slayy Hair Boutique is not only to provide premium, time-saving hair solutions but also to create a space that empowers and uplifts. I’m committed to bringing confidence, beauty, and faith into each woman’s life, showing them that they are loved and valued in every way. Through this journey, I’ve found true purpose, blending my passion for business with a mission that reflects my faith.

At Slayy Hair Boutique, my mission goes beyond providing luxury wigs and hair extensions; I’m here to empower women to look and feel their absolute best while also encouraging them to seek a deeper connection with God. I believe beauty is more than just external appearance—it’s about feeling peace and joy from within, a transformation that only God can truly give us. My work is not solely about enhancing the outer beauty of each woman but creating an opportunity for her to experience the love, grace, and strength that comes from faith. I pray that each client feels the presence of God through the art He has allowed me to create. When a woman wears a piece from Slayy Hair Boutique, she’s not just putting on a wig; she’s stepping into a new version of herself that only God can give, allowing her to be transformed both inside and out.

As it says in Ezekiel 11:16, “I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.” Through my work, I hope each woman feels beautiful on the outside while opening her heart to the inner peace, love, and joy that God provides.

I’m thrilled to announce the launch of limited-edition wig styles in stunning, eye-catching colors, designed for the woman who wants to make a statement. We’re also introducing a one-time maintenance package, giving clients the opportunity to refresh or customize their wigs. We plan to fully relaunch this in 2025.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

Looking back, I believe the three most impactful qualities in my journey have been my faith, creativity, and resilience. My gift truly came from God, and it has been the foundation of everything I do. My faith has guided me through challenges and has been a source of strength and inspiration. Creativity has allowed me to express my vision and connect with my clients in a meaningful way. Resilience has helped me overcome obstacles and keep pushing forward, no matter how tough things got.

For those who are early in their journey, my advice is to cultivate these qualities within yourself. First, lean into your faith—allow it to guide your decisions and inspire you. Second, embrace your creativity; don’t be afraid to think outside the box and express your unique perspective. Lastly, develop resilience by viewing challenges as opportunities for growth rather than setbacks. Remember that every step you take, even the difficult ones, is part of your journey and contributes to your success.

What do you do when you feel overwhelmed? Any advice or strategies?

When I feel overwhelmed, I first go and read my Bible and sit in God’s presence because His words bring so much peace on those tough days. I take a step back and remind myself of my purpose and the mission behind Slayy Hair Boutique: to empower women to feel their best and to share the love and strength that comes from faith. Taking a moment to reconnect with my “why” helps ground me and gives me clarity.

I also find it helpful to break down my tasks into smaller, manageable steps. This way, I can prioritize what needs immediate attention and set achievable goals for the day. I make sure to lean on my support system that i have around me.

Another strategy is to spend quality time with loved ones. Lastly, I remind myself that it’s okay to ask for help when I need it. Building a business is a journey, and having support from others can make all the difference when things get overwhelming.
