Meet Kessuda Tispak

We recently connected with Kessuda Tispak and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Kessuda, appreciate you sitting with us today to share your wisdom with our readers. So, let’s start with resilience – where do you get your resilience from?

grown up in lower class family, in the developing country as Thailand there was a lot to learn to survive. My parent were tough to me, there was no time to play in our family, in the weekend when other kids were running around, my brother and I needed to walk around the village selling Thai Snacks that my grandmother made just because we need to make more money. There was no time for vulnerability, my family had a lot of domestic problem, one thing that my mom always says is “Don’t Cry” it wasn’t a requesting, it was forcing. I’m used to those feeling like disappointing, sad, upset but can’t complain, can’t say anything but keep moving. I still believe that who I am right now it builded from those rough experiences back then, and mold me in to the good shape. Those things made me resilience

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

I have two lives , one I called the career, other one I called passion . Both of them has an important part for my life, Hōm Natural Herbal Inhaler is the holistic product I have created since 2019, this brand make me feel like I’m still close to my grandma because she was the one who taught me how to make it when she was still alive. I’m obsessed with all kind of scents, I love sniffing thing around myself and herbal inhaler is very common in Thailand. So I made the inhaler in my own style that is more modern, mixture of several kind of dry herbs and essential oil and get the inspiration from thing around me, SoCal has many nice hiking trail, so I make one scent called “Morning Hike” ! To me when you inhale it, you will feel like you’re hiking in Mammoth Lake in the winter time. Now I have 4 scents and expanding the inhaler to Mini Pot like potpourri with modern Thai style. I love making Inhaler, it’s just make me smile =)

For my other part, I’m a concierge at Holy Basil Market. It’s Thai Restaurant that make elevated Thai-Chinese in Bangkok street style. So I will take care of front of the house team and anything that related to guest relationship or event and party. Food is a huge part of my life from childhood throughout adulthood. my family had a small restaurant back in Thailand, grow up helping out my mother serving food or I would sell shaved ice in the summer time. Food make people happy, food keep the conversation going, food also represent culture and humanity. For me it’s very simple. I love food, I love seeing people enjoy food, especially the food from my country =)

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

I’m a very patient person, when thing went wrong, I always be patient, think about solution and never assume for the worst first. I set myself as an Empty Glass Theory, which you can always learn more, fill up more water in the glass. I walk into every opportunities with no expectation but do my best, and whatever happen after that it’s bad, you learn without lossing, if it’s good, IT”S BONUS
