Meet Kevia Jones

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Kevia Jones a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Kevia, so great to have you on the platform. There’s so much we want to ask you, but let’s start with the topic of self-care. Do you do anything for self-care and if so, do you think it’s had a meaningful impact on your effectiveness?
My activities are yoga, meditation, spending time in nature or near a body of water and listening to music while dancing. I refer to myself as a wine enthusiast, but water is the blank canvas that you get to add color to and so I add fruits. I have a real love for fruits and vegetables. It helps my body and mind to be able to show up for me more effectively when I consume food that I know what all it entails and where it came from.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
My name is Kevia Jones, known to most as Sunni. I am a native Houstonian health and wellness expert. I was compelled to transform my life after suffering personal experiences and battle with anxiety, insomnia and struggles with my mental health. I decided to take control over her own healing process. My health and wellness became the top priority. Mindfulness, living intentionally, body awareness and alternative medicine helped save my life and revealed itself as her purpose to assist others in doing the same. Dedicating my time to establish a household brand.

The Executive Sweet brings awareness of the benefits to taking an alternative approach for not only your mental health, but your overall wellness. Consciously curated hemp products with clean ingredients, cruelty free and vegan.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
There are many qualities, and skills that impacted my journey, but I would say the three that are most instrumental are my Discipline, Self-awareness, and Willingness.

My advice would be to continue showing up for yourself even on the hard days when you don’t think you’ll be able to push through. Success is right on the other side of discipline and consistency.

Alright so to wrap up, who deserves credit for helping you overcome challenges or build some of the essential skills you’ve needed?
I would have to say I was inspired by my younger self. After being in an ongoing battle with my mental health and wellness it was imperative to my life in general to approach my living differently. My main motivation came from nearly losing my life during this battle. I knew with the right information, discipline, and hard work I would be successful.
