Meet Keyerra Green

We recently connected with Keyerra Green and have shared our conversation below.

Keyerra , so great to have you with us and we want to jump right into a really important question. In recent years, it’s become so clear that we’re living through a time where so many folks are lacking self-confidence and self-esteem. So, we’d love to hear about your journey and how you developed your self-confidence and self-esteem.

It’s simple but complex. I developed my confidence and self-esteem through failure. I lost myself many times but through my faith in my father I was able to find myself again every time. Through my trials, I was able to find strength, and I learned that no matter how many times I lost I can get it back again. I developed my self-esteem from the resilience in my losing seasons. I learned that failure is a blessing in disguise because if I never failed, I would’ve never knew myself in the way that I do now. The confidence that I carry isn’t vain or superficial it’s deep rooted within me because I know that I can do all things through Christ, which strengthens me.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?

My name is Keyerra, I’m a pre-med student, fashion designer, creative and a business owner. I’m currently beginning my journey as a PA student with a specialty in dermatology, my Buisness specializes in hair growth and skin care products. I have many endeavors, but the one that I’m currently focusing on is fashion design. I create designs and fashion for women within the sports industry. In my downtime. I also write music for myself and others.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

Looking back the three qualities that were most impactful in my journey was practice, patience, and the ability to try again. The advice that I would give people who are early in their journey is to keep going, before you become a professional you have to be an amateur. So more than likely anything that you start you won’t be good at it’s probably not gonna be the best quality but if you keep going and you keep trying you can master anything that you put your mind to. Lastly, I would like to say block out the outside noise. It’s gonna be so many people who don’t understand your journey, but it’s important for you to remember why you started and how far you came. Every time you begin to doubt yourself or want to quit remember your why. Why you started, why you were given the idea, why you were given the talent and the people that are connected to you depending on you to succeed.

Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?

I’m always looking for people to collaborate with and create things for since I’m now in the fashion design industry I would like to create fashion designs for Ciara or Simone Biles. I’m also a big fan of Angel Reese and Flau’jae. Being that it is a lot of great women within the sports industry, My list could go on for days.
