Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Khadija Cisse. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Khadija, we’re thrilled to have you sharing your thoughts and lessons with our community. So, for folks who are at a stage in their life or career where they are trying to be more resilient, can you share where you get your resilience from?
My resilience comes from my childhood and learning early how to adapt, stay observant, and keep going even when things felt uncertain. I didn’t always have stability, so I learned how to create it for myself through discipline, creativity, and faith.
Those experiences taught me that if I wanted something different, I had to be willing to work for it and figure things out on my own. I carry that mindset with me in everything I build, reminding myself that I’ve already survived things that once felt impossible.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
I am the founder of Voxara Media, a digital marketing agency built around the idea of helping brands find their voice and show up with clarity and confidence online. With over ten years of experience in digital marketing, I have worked across media, entertainment, and public service with organizations like Paramount+ and Caribbean Life TV. Those experiences shaped how I approach storytelling, strategy, and audience connection.
What excites me most about Voxara Media is the impact. I work closely with small businesses, founders, and local brands who have powerful stories but struggle to translate them into a strong online presence. Voxara Media is about more than social media or content creation. It is about helping people feel seen, understood, and supported as they grow. I focus on building intentional strategies that combine creativity with data, so clients are not just posting but actually converting and growing.
I am passionate about working with entrepreneurs and service based businesses who want to build sustainable brands without losing their authenticity. Everything I create is rooted in the belief that your business has a story and it deserves to be heard.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Looking back, the three most impactful things in my journey were adaptability, storytelling, and consistency.
Adaptability taught me how to navigate change without losing focus. Being open to learning and evolving allowed me to grow instead of feeling stuck. Storytelling helped me connect with people in an authentic way and communicate ideas clearly, which became the foundation of how I build brands. Consistency is what turned effort into results. Showing up even when things felt slow made all the difference.
For anyone early in their journey, stay flexible, practice communicating your story, and commit to showing up regularly. Progress comes from steady action, not perfection.

What was the most impactful thing your parents did for you?
I believe the most impactful thing my parents did for me was support my ability to choose my own path. They encouraged me as I explored what I genuinely enjoyed, even when those choices shifted over time. When I changed my major from pre med to marketing, my father became my biggest cheerleader, reminding me that fulfillment mattered just as much as achievement.
That support taught me the importance of trusting myself and prioritizing happiness. It showed me that the greatest gift a parent can give is the freedom and encouragement to pursue a path that feels aligned and meaningful.
