Khadija, we’ve been so fortunate to work with so many incredible folks and one common thread we have seen is that those who have built amazing lives for themselves are also often the folks who are most generous. Where do you think your generosity comes from?
My heart and my belief in God!
Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
I host a faith based podcast entitled “Faith Talks with Khadi” and our motto is “Where we talk about faith and let faith do the talking.” Our scripture basis is Hebrews 11:1 “Now Faith is the substance of things hoped for the evidence of things unseen” I share my thoughts on my faith journey. I also posts daily scriptural videos called “Memorize the Verse” where I share a verse each day.
There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
I’ve learned to adapt, adjust and now I’m overcoming. I started this journey about 3 or 4 years ago and my faith has been stretched and shaped in many ways. My best advice is Obey God! Life is never going to be smooth sailing. Put your trust in the one that can hold it all together! Keep going. Eat a good meal. Get some sleep! Real sleep! It sounds cliché but not many people do it. One last thing, Life isn’t about perfection but progression as long as you’re doing your best then that’s enough.
How would you spend the next decade if you somehow knew that it was your last?
I would do what I’m already doing surround myself with people who genuinely love me. I would travel to the places I’ve always wanted to go to Maldives, Japan, and others. I would do all of the things I want to do like parasail, sky dive, and more. I would give as much love and sunshine as I could. I would complete everything I’ve already started. Life is short and when God gifted it to us he wanted us to love him and have no one or nothing above him and to love the others around us. Life is a gift be present and enjoy it.
