Meet Khadijah Williams

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Khadijah Williams . We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Khadijah below.

Khadijah , we’re thrilled to have you on our platform and we think there is so much folks can learn from you and your story. Something that matters deeply to us is living a life and leading a career filled with purpose and so let’s start by chatting about how you found your purpose.
I found my purpose through lots of prayer, resilience, and self reflection. It took me a long time to discover my purpose. For many years I was really depressed about this, because it felt like it came so natural and easily to others. But it was something that I was struggling with. Honestly, I was constantly overthinking my purpose. But I came to notice that my purpose was what came so naturally to me. Which was, encouraging and helping women see themselves the way God seems them through Esthetics.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
I am a Licensed Esthetician and full-time entrepreneur. I wear many hats such as, therapist, maid, friend, sister, and confidant. The most exciting part about my job are hands down the stories my clients tell me. I feel like I could write a book about the juicy tales they share. This coming year Lula B’s Beauty Bar will be launching merchandise, products, and releasing a new consulting business. In the near future I will also be launching a self-help book about my struggles and triumph with depression and anxiety.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Diligence, being teachable, and faith are the three skills that have impacted my journey thus far. If I could give anyone advice on their early journey to entrepreneurship, it would be stay the course. It’s very hard, but if you have persistent and are faithful God will sustain and grow your business.

One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?
Yes, I am looking to collaborate with other like minded individuals. I am looking for hard-working, self-motivated, trustworthy people to work with in the future.
