Meet Khe Dean

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Khe Dean. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Khe below.

Khe, looking forward to learning from your journey. You’ve got an amazing story and before we dive into that, let’s start with an important building block. Where do you get your work ethic from?

I would say I got my work ethic from my parents and grandmother. I got my entrepreneurial trait from my grandmother and Father. My grandmother had a bakery business, my father was just a serial entrepreneur and my mother was just a hard worker.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?

Just this past April I branched off from my salon and opened a hair weaving school its a 10 week program that provides hands on training for new stylist or seasoned stylist looking to refresh their skills and be licensed by the State of Texas.

Last month my co host and I launched our podcast called Salon Talk Literally( YouTube)…. Where we focused in on salon topics, experiences highlight events and products. Tune in every Friday it will be new guest on every episode.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

Discernment , effective communication, and integrity

No matter what you experience on your journey when your unclear and need clarity follow your discernment. It’s always right! Being an effective communicator will always help you to speak up for your self and stand on your beliefs. Lead with integrity, due unto others as you would want to be done to you.

Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?

Collaboration and a team is the key to success! I’m always looking to collaborate, currently I’m looking for motivated instructors and an admin to join us and have a love to empower students to be the best they can be and successfully compete the program.
