Meet Kianna Daye

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Kianna Daye. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Kianna below.

Kianna, thank you so much for taking the time to share your lessons learned with us and we’re sure your wisdom will help many. So, one question that comes up often and that we’re hoping you can shed some light on is keeping creativity alive over long stretches – how do you keep your creativity alive?

I keep my creativity alive by staying rooted in who I am a Durham native who loves food, community, and storytelling. When the space feels crowded, I remind myself that no one else has my voice, my taste, or my perspective.

Stepping away, trying new spots, and creating for fun keeps me inspired. Oversaturation doesn’t matter when you’re tapped into what makes you you.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

I’m Kianna Daye, a Durham native and the creator behind @wandereat_repeat. I use my platform to share the food, fun, and hidden gems that make North Carolina special. What I love most is the storytelling, showing not just what people should try, but why it matters and the feeling behind it.

My brand has grown into a space for discovery and community, where I partner with local businesses and organizations to highlight real, meaningful experiences. Right now, I’m focused on expanding my content into a full creative business with new series, deeper storytelling, and more collaborations across NC.

At the heart of everything I do is connection, connecting people to places, flavors, and stories that deserve to be seen.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Three qualities that have made the biggest impact on my journey are authenticity, consistency, and community connection.

If you focus on being true to yourself, showing up regularly, and building meaningful relationships, you’ll grow, not just as a creator, but as a storyteller with impact.

Alright, so before we go we want to ask you to take a moment to reflect and share what you think you would do if you somehow knew you only had a decade of life left?

If I knew I only had a decade left, I would spend those ten years fully, intentionally, and without leaving a single stone unturned. I would pour my time into the people I love, travel to the places that have lived on my bucket list, and experience as much food, culture, and beauty as I could. I’d focus on creating memories over milestones doing the things that make me feel alive, connected, and grounded.
