Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Kiara Thompson-fincher. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Kiara, we’re thrilled to have you on our platform and we think there is so much folks can learn from you and your story. Something that matters deeply to us is living a life and leading a career filled with purpose and so let’s start by chatting about how you found your purpose.

If by purpose you mean how did I find the business for me , I found that in college, as most of us, exploring different things I like and researching on YouTube , that’s how came across brow tint. I thought it was so dope to learn a trade , I immediately fell into learning the skill and so excited, that I only charged $10 per person. That ended quickly ,ha.

But, if you mean purpose by what I was brought here on this planet to do, I believe it was during the 3-5 years of working within my business and coming across different types of people. I learned I loved to make people feel good about themselves , be a listening ear , and to uplift.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?

I am a proprietor for brow tinting services in Savannah ,Ga.However , I offer brow and lash services , and the first to offer duo sets. That way you can get a two for one!
I’ve been servicing for about almost 5 years now and I don’t think I’ll ever get use to it. The different people , the alway inspiring to be better, I am truly blessed to have the job that I have.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

I think the most impactful things to make me who I am within my career was me not having enough money for college , because I wouldn’t have started to even THINK about a business. I wanted to be to psychologist. Next was having a baby a suffering postpartum depression , that was my first big real obstacle I had to deal with in life and while running a business I learned how to persevere. And lastly , becoming an overhead , this taught me how to delegate my business more than I ever had to before and take in to play what goes into a business even the little things like making sure you have enough toilet paper for the suite or making sure you paid the light bill in time because you have other suite mates depending on you .

My advice for anybody starting a biomes or the process of building their business , everything is hard . Figure out which hard you want to deal with for the best result !

As we end our chat, is there a book you can leave people with that’s been meaningful to you and your development?

This is a good one because I love books , and anybody who knows me knows “The four agreements” is my go to. It one of those books you have to read a couple times within the year because it’s soooooo many gems in there. All in all : 1.Be Impeccable with your word .
2.Don’t take anything personally .
3.Don’t make assumptions.
4.Always do your best.
