We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Kim Groshek a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Kim, looking forward to learning from your journey. You’ve got an amazing story and before we dive into that, let’s start with an important building block. Where do you get your work ethic from?
I’d say my work ethic is rooted in a blend of experiences that shaped me from an early age. From childhood, I developed a strong sense of discipline, time management, consistency, and independence—qualities that became the backbone of how I approach both life and business. My discipline for writing grew out of this same foundation. But the spark—the creativity—was ignited in middle school when I would share my writing with my grandma. She was always a light of inspiration, encouraging me without judgment. That safe space filled me with confidence and creativity that still fuels me today.
My corporate acumen comes from running my consulting business for over 35 years, where I learned how to navigate complex challenges and deliver results with professionalism and precision.
Athletics also played a huge role. Competing taught me persistence, determination, and the value of consistency—while also showing me that having the right team and mentors makes all the difference. Those lessons carried over into entrepreneurship, where surrounding myself with expert mentors and heart-centered communities of people who have “been there and done it” continues to challenge me and propel my growth to the next level.
For me, work ethic isn’t about grinding harder—it’s about discipline, clarity, and surrounding yourself with the right people who elevate and expand what’s possible.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
I’m Kim Groshek, and my work centers on helping corporate professionals in transition build businesses that are not only sustainable, but also scalable and impactful. After years in the corporate world myself, I saw how many talented leaders wanted to step into entrepreneurship but struggled to move beyond burnout, overwhelm, or uncertainty about how to start. That’s what inspired me to create a clear path forward—one that blends mindset, strategy, and systems so leaders can attract high-ticket clients and build a business that aligns with both their values and their vision for legacy.
What excites me most about the work I do is seeing people move from doubt into clarity, and from hustling without results into building a business model that gives them freedom. For me, it’s never just about the business mechanics—it’s about helping people find their voice, amplify it, and use it to serve others in powerful ways.
In addition to coaching and strategy work, I host the Soundbit Podcast, where I share conversations and insights that inspire leaders to step forward with purpose. I’m also a best-selling author, with books and workbooks designed to guide entrepreneurs and visionaries through real-world challenges and inner growth.
Most recently, I’ve been focused on expanding Focus Forward and Momentum 360 Inner Circle, a membership platform designed to give entrepreneurs ongoing access to coaching, masterminds, and business-building resources. It has become a hub where leaders can plug into a community, sharpen their strategies, and accelerate their growth without having to piece everything together on their own.
At the core of my brand is a belief in simplicity, intentionality, and legacy. I want every person I work with to not only grow a profitable business, but also create something that lasts—and feels deeply aligned with who they are.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
1. Relationship-Building as a Superpower
Some have called me an “elite savant” when it comes to relationships. I thrive in creating and nurturing connections—whether through hosting panels, fireside chats, events, or my podcast. For me, it’s about building trust and influence through meaningful conversations that open doors for collaboration and growth.
2. Integrity and Consistency
I believe leadership is shown through communication, action, and follow-through. Integrity, paired with consistency and commitment, is what builds credibility. It’s not just about showing up once, but about being a steady and reliable presence that others can count on—whether I’m coaching, leading, or creating.
3. Simplicity, Strategy, and Connection
At the heart of everything I do is a focus on simplicity. I help strip away the noise and create clear, strategic pathways that entrepreneurs can actually follow. When simplicity is paired with connection, it lays the foundation for sustainable growth, long-term impact, and success that feels aligned rather than forced.
Together, these qualities shape how I serve others: by fostering clarity, cultivating trust, and guiding leaders to build businesses that are both profitable and purposeful.

What has been your biggest area of growth or improvement in the past 12 months?
Over the past 12 months, my biggest area of growth has been stepping fully into building scalable, integrity-based systems while surrounding myself with the right mentors and communities. I’ve intentionally studied a wide range of expert approaches—from marketing frameworks and high-converting webinars to feminine leadership, alignment, and mindset—and distilled what works into my own holistic model that blends mindset, strategy, and systems.
This integration has led to powerful results: I’ve filled my mastermind with incredible leaders, led over 20 successful enrollment events, launched a digital course with two thriving cohorts, established a clear nurturing sequence and framework, built a strong support team, and continued to host monthly virtual speaker series that bring connection and inspiration to a growing community.
What I’ve learned is that while many programs provide motivation or frameworks, they often miss integration and sustainability. My growth has been in bringing those pieces together—ensuring every strategy I use and teach is relationship-driven, soul-aligned, and designed for long-term impact without burnout. This past year has been about more than outcomes; it’s been about refining a way of living and doing business that is prosperous, sustainable, and deeply aligned with who I am—and teaching others how to do the same, so they can share their message and create ripple effects of change in their communities and the world.
