We recently connected with Kim Waggoner, RN and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Kim, really happy you were able to join us today and we’re looking forward to sharing your story and insights with our readers. Let’s start with the heart of it all – purpose. How did you find your purpose?
after a stage 4 cancer dx, God reminded me of my favorite bible story of Joseph. He went ahead to help save the lives of others. also he stated.. what was meant for evil, God meant for good. I knew that the cancer diagnosis was an opportunity for me to help others learn how to heal. This is what I do now as a health coach.
Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
Professionally I am a registered nurse, but after a stage 4 cancer diagnosis in 2010, I shifted from sick care to well care and became a health coach.
My vision and mission for my business is to Restore Identity, Hope and Health to the daughters of God through a grace-based approach to wellness. I am passionate about making healthy living simple and LIFE GIVING! I focus not just on physical food but take a holistic approach by guiding my clients to look at all aspects of life as “food”, including mindset, relationship, movement and more!
I developed a 4 month coaching program that truly helps women to transform their health. Together we create a strong foundation of health that is sustainable for all seasons of life.
YES! I am accepting clients. I work with clients via video meetings, this way I can meet with anyone, anywhere!
I also live on a small organic regenerative farm. We raise a lot of our own foods and love leaving the earth better than we found it. Nature is a big part of my life and health practices.
I am very family oriented. I love being a wife, mom and mimi! These roles bring me the greatest joy.
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Choosing Hope, My Faith in Jesus, Resilience
Making a decision to choose each of these things, then put practices or rhythms in place to help you stay consistent,. be in community and surround yourself with others who are likeminded and will build you up. Always speak life over yourself and your circumstances.
Who is your ideal client or what sort of characteristics would make someone an ideal client for you?
My ideal client typically falls into 2 categories.
1. The empty nester mom (or soon to be) and they realized they spent their whole lives pouring into and caring for their families, but they didn’t care or nourish themselves. They are experiencing some health changes and they truly want to feel their best so they can continue to keep up with their kids/grandkids. They want to actively participate in life not just sit on the sidelines.
2. The above women’s daughters.. they watched their mom sacrifice it all and they want to be proactive and intentional about their health and their babies.
