Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Kimathi Coleman. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
firstName}, thank you so much for agreeing to talk with us about a deeply personal and sensitive topic. Postpartum depression affects so many in the community and hearing from someone who has overcome PPD might help someone who is going through it right now. For readers, please note this is not medical advice, we are not doctors, you should always consult professionals for advice and that this is merely one person sharing their story and experience
I cautioned my team which included my Midwife, Doula, and Husband that I had a higher chance of experiencing It again. I overcame it after my other two births. They were prepared to watch out for the signs and to get me help, if it did pop up. I called my Midwife a week,or so ,after my baby was discharged from theNICU. I was crying and didn’t know why. She immediately sent me the information to postpartum support international.it was a great resource for me. My husband also kept an eye on me. I had lots of great support from my village .
Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
