Meet Kimberli Davino

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Kimberli Davino. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Kimberli below.

Kimberli , so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?

When I was diagnosed with endometriosis, I realized I was made to help others. Whether they were struggling with endometriosis themselves, or were dealing with something entirely different, I just felt this pull to be available to those who felt alone. When I started sharing my endometriosis journey, a lot of people reached out to me, telling me it was so helpful to hear my story. Their feedback pushed me even more to want to create a safe space for people, no matter what it was they were dealing with.

There are just so many ways I love to help others. This passion led me to create our business community, to help those in the entrepreneur world who feel they are alone and struggling, have a safe space where they can go for support and friendships. My passion for helping others also spilled over into creating a virtual guidebook for those visiting Savannah, to help make sure they plan the perfect trip here!

And of course, my passion for helping people shines daily on my social media accounts. I love showing up there to inspire and uplift others & of course, continue to share my health struggles as much as I can.

Finding my purpose came from my own place of struggle and desire and a desire to turn that struggle into a source of strength for others. My purpose, without a doubt, is to be a beacon of support and encouragement to those around me who need it most.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

I am one of the co-founders of Magic Makers Community, a space for entrepreneurs and creatives who are feeling alone in their business and are looking to create long-lasting friendships, receive support and accountability, and have a safe space to be themselves.

I am also the founder of Cobblestone and Moss, a virtual Savannah travel guidebook. It’s the perfect resources for those first timers visiting Savannah but it is also an amazing resource for repeat visitors as well as locals who live here! Because it is always being updated with all the things, whether it is monthly events, or new places/things to do.

I have never felt more peace in my life as I do now. These two amazing businesses I have created, are absolutely what I was made to do. After years of trying thousands of different things. I am thankful for those experiences though because they helped me learn, grow, and realize where my heart truly lies.

Magic Makers Community excites me because it is vibrant, supportive, and a place where we can all come together to learn and grow, together. It’s a place where others can receive support they need, without feeling like they are breaking the bank. I love that we focus on being ourselves and shining our true magic, without all that noise on social media drowning us out. I love seeing the genuine connections being made and the support we truly all give each other. It’s an incredible thing when you have a community of biz besties, cheering you on, supporting you and just being there when you need them the most. It’s the friendships that extend beyond business for me! An exciting service we are launching in the community is free pop up co-working sessions for those who want to test it out before fully joining the community! We are so excited to give those interested in joining, this opportunity first to get a feel for if it is for them!

And what I love about Cobblestone and Moss, well, everyone who knows me knows I love my city. Being able to share that love with visitors is an amazing feeling. I take great joy in helping people plan the perfect trip, including hidden gems and unique experiences they might miss without the guide. It is way more than just the top 10 places to eat, I go deep into my favorite parts and things of Savannah. Additionally, I really cherish the connections I’ve made with local businesses. Many of them have become dear friends already, and sharing and supporting these local businesses through my guide makes my heart swell! I want to see everyone win, and it just brings me so much joy to be able to highlight these amazing local spots.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

I would say:

1) Resilience- This has been crucial in my journey, especially when it comes to setbacks and challenges. Whether it’s the ups and downs of running a business or managing my health struggles, resilience allowed me to push through tough times, learn from failures and mistakes, and come out stronger than ever on the other side. It’s always about bouncing back for me, and maintaining a positive outlook, even when things get difficult. I know, they won’t stay that way forever.

2) Empathy- This has been a guiding force for me. We all deal with tough times, struggles and many times, you don’t even know someone is going through something. So many of us wear masks, I learned that when I started my endometriosis journey. But learning to understand and genuinely care not only about what I was dealing with but, the struggles of others as well, has shaped the way I build my business and nurture my community. Empathy has helped me ensure that I create meaningful, supportive experiences that resonate with people on a deeper level.

3) Authenticity- There is nothing better than being authentically you. This has really helped my community and those in my life connect and get to know me. By staying true to myself and my values, I have created this space where others feel they can be themselves as well. So many want to see the real you, they appreciate that honesty and realness. Whether it is through your business or personal interactions, just be you. Your people will come. And those who don’t like it, can leave. That just creates extra space for YOUR people.

Advice for those just starting out to develop these qualities: Resilience- Embrace challenges. View your setbacks as learning opportunities. Don’t shy away from the difficult things, face them head on. Work on your mindset as well. Believe that your hard work will pay off, even when you do encounter setbacks. And of course, practice self-care. Taking care of your physical and menta health is crucial. Finding that sense of resilience is much easier to do when you are feeling rested and in a good mindset.

Empathy- Listen, be open minded and practice compassion! Pay attention to what your community is saying to you, listening can help you better understand their needs. Making sure you are understanding where the other person is coming from, instead of being so quick to judge.

Authenticity- Know yourself, be honest, & accept imperfections. Social media gives this false belief we have to be perfect. We don’t. Embrace your flaws and understand, NO ONE is perfect, no matter how put together they look.

One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?

YES! Absolutely. I love making connections and collaborating with others. Here is what I am looking for:

Business owners, creatives, entrepreneurs: would love to jump on podcasts to chat about everything and anything (biz, community, health, I am an open book), would also love to collaborate somehow utilizing our community, whether you join for a free month and share it with your audience, or we come up with something other that is fun!

I am also looking for anyone in the travel realm who would be interested in partnering with my Savannah travel guide! We can discuss more what that would look like, because I am open for everything and anything!
