We were lucky to catch up with Kimberly Boulos recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Kimberly, thanks for sharing your insights with our community today. Part of your success, no doubt, is due to your work ethic and so we’d love if you could open up about where you got your work ethic from?
My work ethic comes from a deep sense of gratitude, and from a feeling that I always want to know I gave it my all to the people and things I care about.
Waking up and having work is an immense privilege that so many in the world wish they could have. No matter what stage of life I’ve been in, any time I felt my mind wandering to a place where I might complain about “having to” do extra work or run a little harder, I’ve always brought myself back to remembering that it is a privilege– that there are millions of other people who would do anything to have those opportunities– and it gives me an inner fire to work harder. For me, it’s a way to show gratitude and to honor those who wish they had those same opportunities.
Aside from that, I have never wanted to live with regrets. I don’t want to have to wonder what I could have been “if only I worked harder.” So, for me, if I have an opportunity, the only choice I see is to give it my everything, or spend the rest of my life wondering what could have happened if I had. Whether that’s giving my everything in committing to my significant other, working diligently in my career, or sprinting with everything I have in a soccer match, I will always know that, at the very least, I gave it everything I had. There’s a lot we can’t control in life, but work ethic isn’t one of those things.
Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
1) Quality: Care. I truly and deeply care about my clients– people are not numbers to me, so clients know I am really with them on this journey and trying to find what solutions will actually work best for them.
2) Area of knowledge: I have a very high level of understanding about the female pelvic bowl, from both a top-level sports science understanding as well as a more holistic, energy medicine perspective. Those two types of world don’t typically mix, so I know I can offer a very unique style and set of skills for my clients.
3) Skills: Intuition.
I believe that care comes from knowing we are all connected- I don’t see myself as better or worse than my clients- I want to give them the level of care I always wish I had (but rarely received). If you want to improve on this, try to actually get to know your clients- connecting goes a long way in caring.
To improve knowledge, don’t be afraid to dive deep into one niche and specialize- you don’t need to be an expert at everything. Know what drives and excites you, and dive in. Don’t be afraid of not being able to help every one- you can refer out, and the right people for you will find you, and you can give them better care by specializing.
Intuition- develop your intuition by taking moments to pause in life. Everything doesn’t have to be an action. Stop and listen. Feel into your gut- what feels right? Go with it. Take the risk of trusting yourself.
Any advice for folks feeling overwhelmed?
I get a massage, set time for myself to spend time tuning into my intuition in nature, journal, and set very strong boundaries against anyone or anything that are not right for me in that moment.
