Kimberly, looking forward to learning from your journey. You’ve got an amazing story and before we dive into that, let’s start with an important building block. Where do you get your work ethic from?
From my mom. For as long as I can remember, she’s always worked in a business/office setting. As a small child, she would bring me to the office, on occasion, and give me small things to do while I was there with her. She exposed me to the atmosphere early on. Once I started working my own, I enjoyed a fast-paced environment that challenged me in a number of different ways.

I share business and motivational tidbits for people who have an entrepreneurial mindset and want to build their personal brand based on the gift or gifts they have to offer the world. That’s my superpower. It started out as a book, that happened to become a bestseller. From there, I started accepting speaking engagements, offering online courses, free downloads, and coaching other women who want to use the skillsets they have to create multiple income streams. I even started a podcast.
Outside of the things I have personally branded, you will also catch me sharing other tools and products I use in my personal and business life, my setbacks, my home life, and brands I’m loving at this particular time in my life.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
My education has taken me far. I have bachelor and master’s degrees in communications, so my speaking and writing skills would be my top two. And because I’m from the corporate world, I know a thing or two about branding, and I’ve seen some of the best of the best do it, so that would be number three.
The best advice I can give someone early in their journey is to do it NOW. Stop waiting to have all the pieces in place and start with what you have.
