Meet Kimberly Canfield

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Kimberly Canfield. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Kimberly below.

Hi Kimberly, appreciate you sitting with us today to share your wisdom with our readers. So, let’s start with resilience – where do you get your resilience from?
Resilience, to me, is a quality that has been at the heart of my journey as a Small Business Owner and in life in general. I believe that my resilience comes from a combination of factors, but one central element that has been my guiding light is my faith.

Throughout my life, I’ve faced many challenges and obstacles, from struggling with my health and weight, to battling addiction and even experiencing a near-fatal accident. These trials could have very easily broken me, but I credit my resilience to my faith in Jesus, and His unwavering love for me. My faith has provided me with the strength and courage to get back up, even when I didn’t want to or know how to.

For instance, when I decided to take control of my health and lost over 75 pounds, It was my faith and prayer life that gave me the determination to keep those habits, even when they were hard. Overcoming addiction and staying sober for over 3.5 years was monumental for me and only possible by memorizing scriptures that gave me strength. After I suffered 3rd degree burns and had to relearn basic movements, His Word gave me strength and made me realize how merciful He truly is.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
My name is Kim and I’ve been happily married to my high school sweetheart, Bobby Canfield, since 2011 and we have 2 beautiful little girls, Abigail and Sophia.

What makes my journey unique is that I’ve been building a business with two of my best friends that I met online. Our bond was instant and we’ve not only nurtured a thriving business together but also cherished sharing each other’s personal victories or trials.

Our collaboration is rooted in our Christian faith, shown through our love, grace and support. As a team, our purpose extends beyond business growth; we’re passionate about helping others pursue their dreams, just as we have done!

We firmly believe that if God has planted a dream within you, it’s for a purpose and we’re here to walk beside.

We’re thrilled to announce our website’s makeover! It has a fresh, vibrant look that is easy to navigate and filled with possibilities for your new web design! We’re also revamping our services to offer more customization and budget-friendly options for all businesses.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
1. Resilience: The ability to recover from or adjust easily to misfortune or change. Life as an entrepreneur can be very challenging and setbacks are inevitable so it’s important to have a realistic mindset. You will get “No’s”. You will lose from time to time. My advice to those starting their journey is to embrace resilience as a core trait. Learn from the failures, adapt to changes, keep pushing forward & never stop praying.

2. Teamwork: Building a business with 2 close friends who live in separate states has taught me the importance of collaboration and teamwork. The synergy of working together, learning and leveraging each other’s strengths, and supporting one another has been a key driver to our success! To those starting out, I’d recommend seeking out collaboration opportunities within your industry and finding a support community or network to belong to. No one in this business is perfect and we all need to do our part in humanizing the experience.

3. Continuously growing and learning: Entrepreneurship is constantly growing and changing so staying up to date is crucial! Our commitment to continuously learning, especially in branding, marketing and web design has been invaluable. I encourage anyone starting out to invest in their knowledge and skill development. We were not created to be stagnant so stay curious, continue growing and challenge yourself because no one grows in their comfort zone.

To close, maybe we can chat about your parents and what they did that was particularly impactful for you?
The most impactful thing my parents did for me was when they made the decision to leave their country to come to America, all for the sake of creating a better life for my brother and I. Their selflessness and unwavering determination have left an unforgettable mark in my life. My Mom’s unwavering love, support and belief in me, even during my lowest moments, have been a source of strength. She is my very best friend and her sacrifices and enduring love have been the most impactful gifts she has given me.
