We recently connected with Kimberly Mae and have shared our conversation below.
Kimberly, we’re so excited for our community to get to know you and learn from your journey and the wisdom you’ve acquired over time. Let’s kick things off with a discussion on self-confidence and self-esteem. How did you develop yours?
Building confidence and self-esteem isn’t easy—it’s a journey, not a destination. But like anything worthwhile in life, it’s something we can work on and grow with over time. I’ll be honest, there was a time when I didn’t think much of myself. I didn’t see myself as someone who could do “cool” or meaningful things, and I didn’t feel worthy of the life I wanted.
For me, the shift started in high school. I hit a point where I realized: *It’s up to me to decide who I want to be.* Letting go of the insecurities I’d carried since childhood wasn’t easy, but I began to believe in myself. Was it perfect? Absolutely not. There were moments when failure made it hard to hold on to that belief. But I kept trying, kept searching for what worked for me.
One thing I’ve learned is the importance of being kind to myself—celebrating my wins, no matter how small, and being gentle when things don’t go as planned. Now, I make it a habit to reflect on everything I’ve accomplished and focus on the good instead of getting stuck in the negatives.
If I could give one piece of advice, it’s this: practice positive self-affirmations every day. Remind yourself of your strengths, and take a moment to appreciate how far you’ve come. You’re more capable than you realize—and it all starts with believing in yourself.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
I’m best known for my recent growth as a content creator on TikTok and Instagram in beauty and lifestyle—where my journey began. These platforms have been the foundation of my creative career, and I’ve truly fallen in love with the incredible community I’ve built along the way.
Recently, I’ve expanded into long-form content on YouTube, where I focus on my passion as a therapist for personal development. Bringing these two areas together as part of my content has been such a rewarding experience. It feels amazing to create content that not only reflects my expertise but also resonates with and helps my audience in meaningful ways.
Every day, I strive to improve and provide even more value to my community. It’s a blessing to be able to do what I love, and I’m committed to continuing this journey and offering content that inspires, supports, and uplifts my audience for years to come.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
In my opinion, the most important qualities a person can have to be successful in any career are high self-esteem, the ability to learn from unsuccessful attempts, and, most importantly, compassion—for both themselves and others. These traits not only help you grow and adapt but also build the resilience and empathy needed to thrive in any field.

Awesome, really appreciate you opening up with us today and before we close maybe you can share a book recommendation with us. Has there been a book that’s been impactful in your growth and development?
To be honest, my mom introduced me to *The Secret* when I was a teenager, and that book completely shifted my mindset. It helped me start building resilience and taught me how to change the way I think. I didn’t just read it—I truly put its lessons into action. To this day, I still believe that if you genuinely want something and work toward it, you can make it happen. That belief has stayed with me and continues to shape how I approach life.
