Meet Kimberly Millard

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Kimberly Millard. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Hi Kimberly , really happy you were able to join us today and we’re looking forward to sharing your story and insights with our readers. Let’s start with the heart of it all – purpose. How did you find your purpose?
I always find joy in bringing happiness to people’s lives, through laughter, smiles, or simply making them feel valued. As an event decorator, this becomes even more meaningful, as I get to create stunning and unforgettable celebrations for my clients and their loved ones, leaving a lasting impression and cherished memories. I feel fortunate to play a role in such special moments.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
I am a proud wife and mother of three wonderful young adults – a son and twin daughters – and recently became a grandmother. Alongside these roles, I am also an entrepreneur and the founder of a women’s group. As I expand my brand, I aim to offer my clients a comprehensive event experience at a single location. While I am happy to decorate events throughout the city and surrounding areas, I am eagerly searching for the perfect space to establish my very own event venue.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
As an event decorator, there are several qualities that are crucial to success. Here are three qualities that I believe matter the most:

  1. Creativity: Event decoration requires a lot of creativity and imagination. A great event decorator must have a keen eye for design and be able to think outside the box to create unique and memorable experiences for their clients.
  2. Attention to Detail: Event decoration involves a lot of intricate details, and it’s the small details that can make all the difference in creating a stunning and cohesive event. A good event decorator must have a meticulous eye for detail, ensuring that everything from the centerpieces to the lighting is perfect.
  3. Flexibility: The event industry can be unpredictable, and things don’t always go according to plan. A skilled event decorator must be able to adapt to changes quickly and work well under pressure, ensuring that the event runs smoothly despite any unexpected challenges. Being flexible and adaptable is key to delivering a successful event for clients.

Looking back over the past 12 months or so, what do you think has been your biggest area of improvement or growth?
My primary area of improvement has been in content posting. It’s an aspect that I require constant assistance with, but I am determined to keep learning new techniques daily to keep up with the latest trends. This effort to improve helps me become a better creator for my clients, and I strive to continue growing my skills in content posting to provide them with exceptional services.
