Meet Kingdom Chics Reconstructed

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Kingdom Chics Reconstructed. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Kingdom Chics, so great to have you with us and we want to jump right into a really important question. In recent years, it’s become so clear that we’re living through a time where so many folks are lacking self-confidence and self-esteem. So, we’d love to hear about your journey and how you developed your self-confidence and self-esteem.
Tasha Delk Of the KCR Podcast answers:

To answer this question honestly. it’s a every day development. Confidence is a feeling and I don’t always feel confident. After having my daughter I wasn’t feeling as confident as I wanted to feel and I was going through a rough patch in my life, my husband would pour into me but I wasn’t pouring into myself. I started going to the gym, getting dressed, and loving on myself. I started to get back into real estate and showing homes and working with clients and my confidence began to come back. We often get confidence and self-esteem confused with emotion. Confidence is an emotion that interprets how we feel emotionally. Daily I assure myself that I am the best at being me! I assure myself that I am in my own lane and that I am the way God created me to be,I love on me daily and when I focus on being me authentically it helps me to feel more confident in who I am. My self esteem is no longer based on how others view me is not my problem to worry about, and as long as I see myself the way God sees me I feel more confident as TASHA!

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
The Kingdom Chics Reconstructed (KCR) Podcast has 3 female hosts. LaDena Chisum, Shonta Joseph, and Tasha Delk. The KCR Podcast is all for the KINGDOM! Everybody can tap in to the discussion. Men, women, young people, seasoned saints, babes in Christ, or those exploring religions. We’re just 4 chics being reconstructed by God to share our thoughts and perspectives on taboo topics that will provoke thought to edify the Kingdom. We provide live shows via facebook and youtube and can be found on all podcast platforms. The KCR Pod was brought together to have conversations that aren’t had within the 4 walls of the church. There is so much that comes along with building a relationship with God, finding your purpose, operating in divine assignments and people look for real life testimonies to gather a understanding of what this journey is like. We are extremely transparent in the things we’ve been through in our lives and we are still being reconstructed everyday. Everyone has a story and their story is a process. No one is perfect and we all fall short but God’s Grace and Mercy is everlasting. We can all be reconstructed into who God has truly planned for us to be we just have to trust HIS process. We’re DISRUPTERS of religion and we focus on relationship! We’re called to break generational cycles so that we can leave a positive spirit filled legacy for our families.

If you have a story of resilience, overcoming, or a powerful testimony. We are always taking interviews.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
LaDena Chisum of The KCR Podcast answers:

Three areas of knowledge that are most impactful in our journey is Purpose, Faith, and Resilience.

Purpose is the reason you were placed on this earth. We all have assignments to carry out and operating in your purpose allows you to fulfill the plan God has for your life(Jeremiah 29:11) Not everyone knows their purpose so the best advice to those that want to know their purpose is to pray and seek God on what your purpose is. Oftentimes our purpose is born from the very thing that happened in our lives that cost us the most. Faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen (Hebrews 11:1) Faith allows you to move in a vision you cannot see. There are glimpses you may see for your future but not the whole movie. You have to walk on faith to know that even though you only seen snippets of the movie that you will see a academy award winning film in God’s time. Believing the impossible is going to happen simply because you believe it will. Faith is nothing more than RADICAL trust in God. To walk a journey of spirituality and being in relationship with God you must be resilient. You cannot waver when times get hard because this is not always a pretty journey. You have to know without a shadow of a doubt that if you get knocked down it’s a MUST you get back up again!

Okay, so before we go, is there anyone you’d like to shoutout for the role they’ve played in helping you develop the essential skills or overcome challenges along the way?
Shonta Joseph of the KCR Podcast answers:

When I feel overwhelmed, I make sure I understand that I am in control over my emotions. If I can’t control myself I separate myself from the thing or person to think clearly about my next actions. I pray and ask God to give me the peace that surpasses all understanding and the wisdom to navigate what I’m facing. Once I am calm I use my logic and not my emotions to go forward in what needs to take place. I feel as if we’re sometimes too quick to move off of emotions and end up having bad experiences when we don’t stop and think about how the actions can not only affect us but the situation as a whole. This tool will allow you to use wisdom in decision-making for moments to come.
