Kiya, so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?
After my daughter went to prison for thirty years I was broken. Then 2020 happened and the entire world was shut down. I began to reflect on my life and what I truly wanted. I have always been an entrepreneur but this time I wanted to make sure to have something my family can continue to carry with or without me. I opened Page Testing Solutions in 2020 and I am so thankful to still be in business with now two locations. My purpose is my family to show them the endless possibilities this world offers.
Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
Page Testing Solutions is a full lab servicing drug test, hair follicle testing, physicals, DNA Testing and so much more. First location is in Mcdonough where we conduct several onsite testing with the surrounding warehouses. We opened a second location in March 2023 in Atlanta Ga. We are continuing to become a staple in both areas building communities and excellent customer service. We are excited and researching our third location COMING SOON!
Another passion is Surviving the Sentence which is my nonprofit that will assist girls reentering from prison. This will become my life work to make sure these girls are not forgotten and able to become model citizens in the world.
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
The three qualities that are the most important to me are consistency, follow-up and NOW. Consistency is so important because you have to keep at something to reap a reward. So many times, people are sitting on great ideas or quit before it gets good. Sitting on the opposite sided of consistency with Page Testing Solutions I am glad and proud I kept going. Just as important as the consistency is the follow up. Going to network event always gives me a rush and excited for gaining new clients. The most important element of the networking is following up to create a relationship through business. Lasting I said NOW, and that means whatever new product you want to sell, new business, a new venture just do it now. My saying is always if not today then when?
Alright, so before we go we want to ask you to take a moment to reflect and share what you think you would do if you somehow knew you only had a decade of life left?
We are currently breaking into federal contracting. Page Testing Solutions has obtained DBE, ACDBE, MBE, SLBE, EDWOSB certifications in Georgia to make us approachable for business. We have networked several events all over GA and we know that drug testing is needed in all areas. It has been a challenge but I know we will have contracts flowing in soon.
