We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Klaudia Paletta. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Klaudia below.
Hi Klaudia , so excited to talk about all sorts of important topics with you today. The first one we want to jump into is about being the only one in the room – for some that’s being the only person of color or the only non-native English speaker or the only non-MBA, etc Can you talk to us about how you have managed to be successful even when you were the only one in the room that looked like you?
Being the only one in the room: how have you learned to be effective/successful even when you are the only one in the room that looks like you?
Being the only Latina in my yoga classes and teacher trainings has been a common experience for me. In these moments, it’s easy to feel like I don’t belong, but I’ve learned to center myself by coming back to my “why.” I remind myself why I’m passionate about sharing yoga and creating more inclusive spaces for Latinas. This purpose gives me strength and motivation to keep going, even when I’m the only one who looks like me in the room.
I’ve also found that my unique perspective is valuable—it allows me to bridge gaps and introduce yoga to communities that may not have traditionally felt included. By staying true to my mission, I’ve been able to build connections and create spaces where others feel seen and welcomed.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
I began my meditation and yoga practice in my early 30s, to help me manage my anxiety. My practiced helped me feel more balance and at ease in my every day life. It was during the tumultuous year of 2020, marked by the onset of the pandemic, that these practices became my anchor, grounding me amidst uncertainty.
During this time, I began to have weekly calls with my grandmother and began to share chair yoga and breathing practices with her.
My grandmother had never practice yoga before, witnessing the impact and benefits she received from her practice inspired me to want to share more with my community. I wanted to created brave, nurturing spaces where where people like my grandmother could have access to wellness practices. From this inspiration:Pink Means Go was born, with a mission to bring wellness to meet folks where they are.
I aspire to make yoga accessible to diverse communities that may not typically see themselves represented in the wellness community, specially the Latinx community. Most of my offerings are in Spanish and free to low cost to the community in an effort to bridge the gap. My drive comes from my grandmother and the impact her practice has on her. I want to continue to share this practice, create these spaces so folks like my grandmother can see themselves in yoga.
The past 3 years I have been facilitating Spanish yoga, chair yoga and sound baths meditations through out Los Angeles county and Ventura county. Our community is growing and the biggest compliment is when I see families coming to practice yoga together.
I have worked with companies and non-profits, such as Planned Parenthood, The city of Oxnard, Bell Arts Factory and AAJC introducing accessible yoga programs in their workplaces. Through these initiatives, I shared practical techniques aimed at fostering calmness and promoting a sense of ease among participants. This fuels my mission of meeting folks where they are in their wellness journey.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Knowing my why, has been incredibly instrumental in my journey. There has been ups and downs and lots of NO’s and knowing my reason behind why I wanted to create and share wellness has been the fuel that has kept me going. It is also a great way to make sure that what I say yes to is in alignment with my values. It helps drive future endeavors and truly has helped me connect and tell my story.
Presence over perfection, I was gifted this advice early in my journey. It is a beautiful reminder to get out of my head and to be fully present with the experience it also gives me permission to learn and to be human. I have learned that it is okay to do my best and to show up exactly as I am in that moment. Every event, class or workshop as something to teach me and this mindset keeps me fluid and open to possibilities. By embracing presence over perfection I am showing up authentically and hopefully inspiring others to do the same.
Learn to rest. Resting did not come easy to me. I was taught that busy was the goal, that the more productive I was the more successful I was. I was terrified that if I stopped, if I didn’t keep pushing, I would miss out on opportunities. Resting nourishes me, it helps me get clear, it inspires creativity, and it helps me remember my why.
Advice: Start with what you have, if you feel the call, the desire to create something, it is there for a reason. Give yourself that opportunity to bring your hearts desires, forward into the world. It is easy to get overwhelm by the thoughts of what you don’t have or to get compare your journey to someones else. You are unique and your voice and story is worthy of being shared. Start with what you have in this moment and the rest will begin to unfold.

Is there a particular challenge you are currently facing?
One of the biggest challenges I’m currently facing is access to funding. Our Spanish-language wellness programs are offered free to the community, making them accessible to those who might not otherwise have the opportunity to participate in yoga and wellness activities. However, securing the necessary financial support to sustain and expand these programs is an ongoing struggle.
To overcome this challenge, I’ve been actively seeking sponsorships, grants, and partnerships with organizations that share our mission of making wellness accessible to underserved communities. I’m also working on raising awareness about the impact of our programs, sharing the stories of those whose lives have been transformed by these offerings. By demonstrating the value and necessity of what we do, I’m hopeful that we can attract the support needed to continue and grow our efforts.
