We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Kobe Angeles D’amelio. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Kobe below.
Hi Kobe , thank you so much for opening up with us about some important, but sometimes personal topics. One that really matters to us is overcoming Imposter Syndrome because we’ve seen how so many people are held back in life because of this and so we’d really appreciate hearing about how you overcame Imposter Syndrome.
If I’m being honest, I’m still not over it haha. However, it is something that is getting better as time goes by. For a while I would get recognized in public and think “maybe they thought I was someone else”. What I’m doing to overcome that is working with myself mentally to accept that my success is just as real as any other content creator especially the ones that are more well known than I am.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
I grew up in New York and lived there until the age of 22. Although I had a pretty great life there, I felt like I was missing something. I moved to LA to pursue acting and content creation. Of course it was something I could’ve done in New York, but I’ve always just loved the atmosphere of LA and the people here as well. There are more opportunities and resources that I have access to that I didn’t before. I love making videos and acting and I also love sharing the stories and ideas I have with others that help them through there day whether it be comedy or just some positives things I’d say

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
A skill I’ve had that helped me get to where I am today is being able to make lasting connections. Some of that may come in the form of networking, but making friends that have actually been there for me and have supported me and others through our journey has been the best part. Another thing that has helped me is remembering it won’t be easy and it’ll take time, I’m still not where I want to be, but it’s something I’m willing to work for. For people who are early in their journey, I would like them to keep I mind to never undersell themselves. If you are working hard for what you want, you deserve the credit even if the results aren’t what you’re looking for

Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?
I love making skits, but I usually just make them with myself. I would like to collaborate with other creators to make skits and short films. I would also like to start vlogging so I can share another side of myself that most people don’t get to see, and having others in the vlogs could help me be more myself
