Meet Kofi

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Kofi. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Kofi , so excited to have you with us today. So much we can chat about, but one of the questions we are most interested in is how you have managed to keep your creativity alive.

I nurtured my creativity by immersing myself in environments that sparked inspiration, like networking events, and museums, and engaging with content aligned with my goals. Exploring various approaches to similar concepts helps keep my mind sharp and constantly evolving.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

My name is George Marfo (Kofi), and I am a young man with a big vision that I hope will not only help me achieve my dreams but also empower others to achieve theirs. I’m currently building a platform to support and grow the Spark the Brain (STB) Network. The goal of STB is to create a dynamic community that leverages resources like job agencies, tourist attractions, nightlife, and business owners across various industries, enabling members to plug in, connect, and thrive within our community.

I’m fortunate to have a strong network of advisors who have been an incredible source of support on this journey, including Brandon Deese, Kevin Gaillard, Mamady Smalls, Terrance Liverpool, and Assoupi Simone.

On a smaller scale, I’ve been fostering this community through networking chats I created on Instagram, such as the Spark the Brain chat, Hair Nails & Wellness chat, Art chat, and Crypto/Stocks chat.

Additionally, I co-host interviews with my colleague, Brandon, where we sit down with successful individuals from various fields. We’ve had the privilege of speaking with people like Marlon Wayans, Dr. Sebi’s son, the owner of The Highline, and many others.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

The most impactful experiences for me came from people not necessarily teaching me directly, but rather placing me in environments where I could learn for myself. It was the connections I made and the lessons I absorbed along the way that truly shaped my journey. This process of growth and inspiration motivated me to create these interviews and group chats, allowing others to benefit from the same opportunities for learning and connection.

The advice I share, especially in my Work Opportunities chat on Instagram, is to give yourself grace. Understand that whatever is outside of your control is simply out of your hands—don’t stress over it. I also encourage people to embrace every experience, even the challenging ones, because they’re not losses. They’re valuable lessons that help shape you into the person you’re meant to become.

What’s been one of your main areas of growth this year?

Over the past 12 months, I believe my biggest area of growth has been finding direction, and that came through my own experiences. It’s been about understanding what’s truly not good for me, rather than what others think isn’t right for me. It’s similar to how a child learns not to touch something hot like an iron—it’s through firsthand experience. I’ve come to know myself better and gained clarity on where I want to be. I now realize that every step I’ve taken has helped me break free from the maze I once felt trapped in.
