Kourtnee, looking forward to learning from your journey. You’ve got an amazing story and before we dive into that, let’s start with an important building block. Where do you get your work ethic from?
My work ethic was instilled in me from an early age. My parents were both two hardworking individuals who taught my siblings and me to apply ourselves and go after our goals. My father was in the military and very disciplined so a lot of his characteristics rubbed off on me!
Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
I am an avid lover of art and off-the-wall photo shoots. High fashion-commercial print-fitness-glamour and bikini modeling are my passion. As far as my story goes, I left my small town in Texas on a journey of self-improvement and a hunger for more life. After being scouted online for an upcoming movie opportunity, I took a flight to New York City with no money, no support and really no plans of ever returning to Texas whether I got the job or not. I did not get the job but what I did get was a pathway to a whole new world of being. New York is the big league in the modeling and entertainment industry. My leap of faith fueled by my ambition, work ethic (and naivety) turned out to be the best move I would make for my life. In NYC, I gained tons of experience working on photoshoots for brands and also worked for small agencies in NYC. I have modeled with Playboy, FHM, Maxim, and many other publications. Currently, I am focused on becoming an actress. I have taken the big leap moving from NYC to Los Angeles. I am currently studying for my bachelors degree in Psychology but also studying acting at Stella Alder School of Acting to learn to become a better actress. Acting is a new world and a new passion for me. I want to be wonderful at it. I am fortunate to work with some directors on some upcoming films and very excited to discover a new world in Hollywood. If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
The three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were and are still most impactful in my journey are:
1.) Confidence. You need confidence and self-love to navigate the entertainment business. Models and actresses receive a lot of rejection and it’s not personal. You need confidence to keep navigating such a harsh industry and to stay mentally healthy. I work on my confidence muscle by challenging myself to do things that I fear.
2.) Networking is a skill that is necessary on my journey. The entertainment industry is all about partnerships and it helps to meet people and work together towards common goals. Networking is easier with social media and the internet.
3.) The last would be the area of knowledge of business. Learning how to manage the business aspects of your career and of the entertainment industry is imperative. It is important to be involved and aware of all business dealings when it comes to your brand and career. I develop my business skills by talking with experts in this field and reading information online to stay current on business dealings. Taking a business class would also help!

I am looking for individuals who work in tech to collab with, with proficiency in artificial intelligence. I desire to work with creative minds. I am an avid lover of off-the-wall photo shoots and creative projects so I am seeking creatives to work with to create art that is out of the box and different from the norm. I am always looking for directors and producers to work with on films and projects because I aspire to do more film work.
