Meet Krendra Harralson

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Krendra Harralson. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Krendra below.

Krendra, we’re so excited for our community to get to know you and learn from your journey and the wisdom you’ve acquired over time. Let’s kick things off with a discussion on self-confidence and self-esteem. How did you develop yours?

I develop My confidence and self-esteem through Trial and error. There are many things that I like to do that I was not good at there are many things that I like to do that I was good at. The more that I did the things that I like to do and continue to build success in them I also built confidence and self-esteem. Self-esteem and confidence I have the courage to do things that I wasn’t as good at and learn from It.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?

I am a retired Army Combat Medic who enlisted in the military at the tender age of 17 and medically retired at 38. I graduated from St. Mary’s School of Law with a Master of Jurisprudence and a dual contraction of Healthcare Compliance Law and Human Resources and Employment Law. I am a Doctoral Candidate at South College; with my degree, I hope to help the legislation that will improve the American Health Care System and provide additional support to our homeless women veterans.

Currently, I advocate for homeless women veterans and their children. I help raise awareness about their plight and help raise funds for non-profits such as Final Salute Inc.

I host a show called Beyond the Battle: Pain, Pageants, and Perspective that aims to share stories of healing, resilience, and peace with a ready and deserving audience.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

Three things that were the most impactful in my journey are;
1) Stay malleable: Keep learning; there will always be something new to learn or new ways to apply an old lesson.
2) I’m never really starting over; I start from experience. Just because I didn’t get what I wanted from a competition or life experience doesn’t mean I failed or lost. I always learn something.
3) Listen

One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?

I am always looking for awesome folks who want to share their uplifting stories of pain, transition, and overcoming or anyone looking to get their name, product, or business out there; please get in touch with me for sponsorship and mention on my show, Beyond the Battle (BTB): Pain, Pageants, & Perspectives.
