Meet Kris Byers

We recently connected with Kris Byers and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Kris, we’re so appreciative of you taking the time to share your nuggets of wisdom with our community. One of the topics we think is most important for folks looking to level up their lives is building up their self-confidence and self-esteem. Can you share how you developed your confidence?

It was only recently that my confidence and self-esteem increased dramatically. I invested in two mentors: one for business and another for mindset. They helped me reframe and rewire self-limiting beliefs that I hadn’t realized were holding me back from achieving what I wanted.

I began by understanding my strengths and weaknesses. Recognizing past achievements, celebrating small wins, and focusing on areas for growth were key steps. Positive self-talk was also a significant change for me; I hadn’t been aware of the negative things I was telling myself.

Additionally, taking calculated risks and not being afraid of failure helped me see that life is just a big game and that nothing is truly that important.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

I am a brand identity and web designer unlocking the growth capacity of one million organisations with visually stunning design, technology and human psychology. We create brand experiences that drive real and meaningful change. I have also recently qualified as a hypnotherapist. This combination allows me to assist business owners both personally and professionally, blending creative, tech and psychology approaches. By addressing both the inner and outer aspects of a business, I help companies envision their goals, set strategic plans, and take aligned actions to achieve what they once thought was impossible.

One of the most exciting projects we’re currently working on is our AI BrandBot. This innovative tool helps businesses with positioning, messaging, and tone-of-voice to ensure brand consistency and streamline business operations. It’s a unique offering that merges technology with branding, making it easier for companies to maintain a cohesive brand identity across all platforms.

Overall, my focus is on empowering business owners to overcome personal and professional challenges, helping them create a strong brand presence while also developing a positive mindset.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

1. Resilience
Resilience has been a vital quality in my ability to overcome setbacks and challenges throughout my journey. It has empowered me to recover from failures and continue progressing, even when circumstances were difficult. This trait has enabled me to maintain focus and determination, allowing me to navigate through tough times with a positive outlook. The ability to adapt and persevere has been essential in transforming obstacles into opportunities for growth and learning.

2. Communication
Effective communication has played a fundamental role in my journey, allowing me to articulate my ideas clearly, collaborate effectively with others, and build strong, meaningful relationships. It goes beyond merely conveying information; it involves truly listening to and understanding others, which fosters trust and mutual respect. This skill has been crucial in navigating complex situations, resolving conflicts, and ensuring that my vision and intentions are accurately conveyed. By engaging in open and honest dialogue, I’ve been able to connect with diverse individuals, understand their perspectives, and work together towards common goals. Effective communication has been the cornerstone of my ability to inspire, motivate, and lead, making it an indispensable aspect of my personal and professional growth.

3. Mindset
A growth mindset has been a pivotal factor in my self-improvement and my willingness to embrace new challenges. This mindset has transformed my perception of failures, allowing me to see them as valuable learning experiences rather than setbacks. By viewing challenges as opportunities for growth, I’ve been motivated to persistently acquire new skills and expand my knowledge. This approach has enabled me to remain adaptable and open to change, constantly pushing me to step out of my comfort zone and explore new possibilities. Embracing a growth mindset has been instrumental in fostering resilience and maintaining a forward-thinking attitude, essential for both personal and professional development.

Thanks so much for sharing all these insights with us today. Before we go, is there a book that’s played in important role in your development?

“The Power of Awareness” by Neville Goddard has played a significant role in my personal development. This transformative book offers profound insights into the power of the mind and the role of awareness in shaping our reality. Here are a few of the most valuable and impactful nuggets of wisdom I gained from it:

The Law of Assumption: One of the core principles in the book is the idea that what we assume to be true becomes our reality. By consciously choosing our thoughts and beliefs, we can shape our experiences and outcomes. This concept taught me the importance of cultivating positive assumptions and maintaining a constructive inner dialogue.

The Power of Imagination: Goddard emphasizes that imagination is the creative force behind our reality. By vividly imagining the life we desire, as if it were already achieved, we can bring our dreams into existence. This idea encouraged me to use visualization as a tool for manifesting my goals and aspirations.

Awareness as the Key to Transformation: The book highlights that awareness is the key to personal transformation. By becoming aware of our thoughts, emotions, and beliefs, we gain the power to change them. This insight has been instrumental in helping me recognize and overcome self-limiting beliefs, allowing me to grow and evolve.

Living in the End: Goddard suggests that we should “live in the end,” meaning we should feel and act as if our desires are already fulfilled. This mindset shift helps to align our actions and emotions with our goals, creating a powerful magnetic pull toward their realization.

These teachings from “The Power of Awareness” have profoundly influenced my approach to life, encouraging me to take control of my thoughts, believe in my potential, and consciously create the reality I desire.
