Meet Kristian Yu

We were lucky to catch up with Kristian Yu recently and have shared our conversation below.

Kristian, thank you so much for taking the time to share your lessons learned with us and we’re sure your wisdom will help many. So, one question that comes up often and that we’re hoping you can shed some light on is keeping creativity alive over long stretches – how do you keep your creativity alive?

Well, to be honest, for me creativity has no limitations in general. When I create a
dish or develop a recipe for a dish, I usually don’t follow any rules (as there are no rules to be followed) though there are proper steps to attain a certain end result. I use my immagination and flavor profile background to create an elevated end result for any dish

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

After reaching my goal to be a chef (from washing dishes and working my way up) and cooking good food, now my goal is to take it to the next level by mass producing my specialty, SISIG (a dish that Filipinos are known for, with my own blend of seasoning and spices) by bringing it to the shelves of majority retail stores. I’ve been working round tthe clock to keep the brand “KRAZY CHEF’s FOODS CORP.” afloat and known by not only FIlipinos and Asians, but other ethnicities as well. Something big and exciting will happen this year that will make this dream come true and of course for everybody to watch out. This project that I’m working on this year will definitely put my company, Krazy Chef, on the map.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

What I can advise to those who are starting in their journey is one, ask yoursleves what makes you happy in terms of what your doing, your career or current situation in life? Two, if you really want it so bad, be ready to sacrifice a lot for the success of what you are plannimg to do (sucess does not happen overnight, you need to work for it). Three, what are you waitimg for… GO FOR IT!!! DO WHATEVER IT TAKES TO MAKE IT WORK!!!

What was the most impactful thing your parents did for you?

Growing up, I saw my parents how they treat the people that worked for them and how they treat them with respect. In return this people gave respect to my parents as their boss. People management is an essential key in whatever you do in life, and RESPECT is not beiing demanded, it is being earned.
