Meet Kristin Pedderson

We recently connected with Kristin Pedderson and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Kristin, thank you so much for joining us today. There are so many topics we could discuss, but perhaps one of the most relevant is empathy because it’s at the core of great leadership and so we’d love to hear about how you developed your empathy?

There is nothing quite like an extreme difficulty, loss or trial, that after going through, reveals a level of understanding. And with understanding comes compassion and empathy, which is also an element of love and forgiveness. My early years were wrought with problems. One after another. Including the loss of a sibiling. Experiencing this loss personally as well as watching my other family members go through, was truly heartbreaking. And being wounded physically and/or emotionally, is not pleasant. However, through my own personal dilemmas, I found God, and the understanding and empathy to clearly see that everyone is faced with these types of difficulties at some time or another.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

Artistically, I am known as Miss Kristin, a multifaceted creator whose work spans music, writing, and visual arts. I spend my time composing songs, melodies and the written word. I also love photography and videography and spend my time creating with these medium’s as best I can, to share online.

As an author, my goal is to continue to elevate others. My latest release, “365 Daily Inspirations ~ Ideas For Higher Living,” is a transformative guide designed to inspire readers with uplifting messages for each day of the year. This collection reflects my commitment to encouraging personal growth and spiritual renewal, offering readers thoughtful insights and practical ideas for living with intention and joy each day.

My brand embodies a blend of creativity and spirituality, that connects with individuals on a deep level. I have dedicated my life to creating music that speak to the heart and moves the soul. And now through music, books, and visual art, I strive to weave together expressions that breathe life into the broken heart.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Perseverance, faith, and integrity have been the cornerstones of my journey as an artist, author, and creator. These three qualities not only shaped the trajectory of my career but also allowed me to navigate challenges with grace and determination.

Perseverance and determination were natural for me. And since waking to my purpose, I have always had the ability to stay committed, even when faced with obstacles or uncertainty. This sense of purpose, strengthens my resolve along The Way. Over time I have experienced first hand that building a creative career is rarely a straight path. And that there will always inevitably be moments of doubt or external resistance. However, perseverance keeps me moving forward one step at a time. It means showing up every day, while refusing to give up, no matter how steep the climb may seem.

As far as advice, I would say that for those early in their journey, cultivate a resilient mindset. Remember, progress often happens in small, incremental steps. Therefore, celebrate the wins and use setbacks as opportunities to grow stronger.

Second, faith has been my guiding light, offering reassurance during times of uncertainty. It’s the belief that my work has meaning, even when the results aren’t immediate or obvious. My faith in the Lord fuels my creativity, allowing me to trust the divine and therefore, explore, take risks, and delight in the process.

My advice for those just starting out would be to learn how God sees you. Often we do not have a clear vision of ourselves. However, God sees us as remarkable. Therefore, nurture faith in God, yourself and your vision. Surround yourself with people who uplift you and create an environment that inspires confidence. Also, take moments to connect with your spirit—whether through prayer and meditation, journaling, or reflection—allow that clarity to guide your actions.

Finally, integrity is a neccesity to overcoming difficulties. You cannot really grow without being able to take an honest assesment. And remaining true to the value of what you are doing is a non-negotiable. Personally, having integrity, means producing work that resonates The Truth, regardless of trends or external pressures. It’s about creating music, books, and art that genuinely touch people’s hearts while staying aligned with my personal mission to inspire and uplift.

For beginners, I recommend focusing on authenticity. Discover what moves you and pour that into your work. Don’t compromise your vision to fit into someone else’s mold; instead, trust that your uniqueness is what will ultimately allow you to stand out and connect with others.

Awesome, really appreciate you opening up with us today and before we close maybe you can share a book recommendation with us. Has there been a book that’s been impactful in your growth and development?

The Bible is a significant book in my personal and creative development. Its timeless teachings have provided me with guidance, inspiration, and a foundation for living a meaningful life. This wisdom is not only spiritual but also deeply practical, offering principles that have helped shape my character, relationships, and my work ethic.

Some Nuggets of Wisdom That Have Impacted Me
1. “Faith as small as a mustard seed can move mountains.” (Matthew 17:20)
This verse reminds me of the immense power of belief. Even the smallest amount of faith can lead to extraordinary outcomes. It has encouraged me to pursue my dreams with conviction, trusting that my efforts, no matter how modest, can lead to transformative results when coupled with faith.

2. “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.” (Luke 6:31)
The Golden Rule has profoundly influenced how I interact with people, both personally and professionally. Treating others with kindness, respect, and fairness has fostered meaningful connections and collaborations throughout my journey.

3. “Be still, and know that I am God.” (Psalm 46:10)
This verse has taught me the value of stillness and trust in moments of uncertainty. It serves as a reminder to let go of control, quiet my mind, and trust in a higher plan, especially during challenging times when answers aren’t immediately clear.

4. “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters.” (Colossians 3:23)
This wisdom motivates me to pour my whole heart into my work, not for external validation but as an act of service and gratitude. It’s about striving for excellence and integrity in all I create, knowing that the effort itself is meaningful.

How These Teachings Shape My Work:
These nuggets of wisdom have become the bedrock of my creative endeavors and personal growth. They encourage me to persist in my goals, act with compassion, and stay aligned with my higher purpose. Through my books, music, and art, I aim to share these timeless truths, inspiring others to embrace faith, love, and resilience in their own lives.

For anyone seeking guidance or strength, I recommend diving into the Bible with an open heart. Its lessons are profound, offering hope and clarity for every season of life. And there is a reason it has existed through the ages. It has a powerful message to offer those who approach it with an open mind and heart.
