Meet Kristina Renée

We were lucky to catch up with Kristina Renée recently and have shared our conversation below.

Kristina Renée, we’re so excited for our community to get to know you and learn from your journey and the wisdom you’ve acquired over time. Let’s kick things off with a discussion on self-confidence and self-esteem. How did you develop your confidence and self esteem?

My own developing confidence and self esteem has been through the arduous and powerful journey of unraveling into self compassion, radical acceptance and self trust. I have found that there is a compelling dance between personal responsibility and confidence. For me a large part of radical self acceptance, which is connected to self confidence, is that it asks us to face the unknown parts of ourselves that are a source of our suffering. While the vehicles of self discovery and awakening are vast and unique to each person, it was through the methods orchestrated in the catalytic therapy model of Depth Hypnosis and Applied Shamanic Counseling that profoundly impacted my relationship with myself and thus to the world at large. I began to discover my intentions on a deeper level, and the drives for my actions and path of service, which allowed me to gain clarity on how I am in relationship with myself and with others. This taught me how to foster a sacred space within myself for profound self love, and trusting myself. I reclaimed parts of myself where I had once been disconnected, curating a wider and stronger reconnection to my inner wisdom, gaining confidence in my inner knowing. The daily practice of compassionate curiosity for myself and for others opens up an inner comfort and orientation in the world that not only expands but continues to become an embodied alchemy in all aspects of my life — physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. We can develop a stronger connection to our inner wisdom, and cultivate agency to move through the world and with others with a natural confidence, self trust and grace. It is by no mistake that the latin root of “cour” for courage means “heart”. In my own personal experiences and my professional practice with others, I believe that developing a strong sense of our self esteem and building a deeper confidence is in moving towards and understanding all the places that block or hinder our own connection to ourselves — our hearts and self compassion. It is in the impasse, that trigger, that hiccup that we can harness the ancient medicine of our own unique inner guidance, radical self acceptance and inner trust.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

I am a sacred space holder. Together with my clients, and a lot of compassionate curiosity, we create a safe container for reconnection, self healing and inner knowing. I help people connect, discover, and reclaim their own personal power and understand how to unravel harmful patterns. I support the process of inner alchemy as people access their own innate abilities of healing, their own inner wisdom and medicine, to live more freely in the world and in their relationships. We do this through the transformative counseling method of Depth Hypnosis, which is unlike any other form of therapy I have known thus far.  What sets the catalytic alternative therapy of Depth Hypnosis apart from other counseling practices is the bridging of the ordinary world and the non-ordinary world, the conscious and the subconscious. Fusing Transpersonal Psychology, Hypnotherapy, Integrated Energy Medicine, Applied Buddhist Philosophy, and Earth-Based Shamanic Wisdom and Tools, Depth Hypnosis brings the unseen to the seen, which offers a deeper understanding of the Self and how to live a more authentic and empowered life. Working on the subconscious level, in a deep meditative state where you are fully conscious and aware, and the busy working mind is taking a break, allows us to see from where patterns emerged and unravel them, as well as look at past trauma for reconfiguring on all levels of one’s being. Processes may include parts work, age regressions, past life regressions, prenatal regressions, energetic interferences, soul retrieval and power retrievals, and soul part exchanges.

In 2024, I birthed a new online offering, Sacred Journey, that meets four times a year with the energy of the seasons. Through the methodical process of meditative journeying and the power of community, the Sacred Journey is a comprehensive safe space to widen the reservoir of self compassion & anchor into one’s inner vessel of self discovery through meditation, hypnosis & the shamanic journey. The upcoming Sacred Journey for the Spring Portal begins April 8th and accepting applications.

I also provide another method of counseling called Applied Shamanic Counseling, which brings ancient practices to the modern experience and empowers clients to develop a shamanic skill set. I work in the community by providing space clearings to homes, buildings, offices and lands locally and non-locally. I work with individuals, couples/dyads, parents, mothers and fathers, and small groups virtually through Zoom, phone call or similar platform. I am available to travel for retreats, special gatherings and occasions. I have a local office in North County San Diego where I see clients as well, though the majority of my work is online.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

  1. Presence. The practice of presence, becoming aware of yourself — your inner world and your outer world to support your own self healing, self knowing and discovery of your heart, authenticity and innate medicine.
  2. Reflection. Learning the skill set of how to pause and reflect not just in thought, but in feeling and in energy for yourself and with yourself in how you are in relationships with others is a powerful nuance that offers much insight to where we have lost presence and where healing can unravel.
  3. Personal Responsibility. This one is big and often difficult to enter into when we don’t have a loving or compassionate presence for ourselves as well as the ability to reflect on our actions towards ourselves or others. We build deeper and more intimate relationships with ourselves and with others when we learn how to truly be accountable for how we show up or don’t show up.

What’s been one of your main areas of growth this year?

My relationship with myself continues to grow more sweet and tender in the nooks and crannies of silence and softness, which beautifully weaves into all my relationships. There has been a lovely expansion of joy within my family and with our four year young son as we find a different rhythm of life in our family unit’s nervous system. It is inspiring and refreshing. I would say overall that the biggest area of growth I feel is in the embodiment of welcoming yet another aspect of grace and compassion into myself, my mind, my heart and my spirit.
