Meet Kristina Sosnowski

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Kristina Sosnowski a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Kristina, looking forward to learning from your journey. You’ve got an amazing story and before we dive into that, let’s start with an important building block. Where do you get your work ethic from?

My work ethic really comes from a mix of passion, dedication, and the strong influences of my family. Growing up, I watched my parents work incredibly hard while always maintaining a positive attitude, which made a lasting impact on me. They taught me the value of perseverance, consistency, and doing everything with care, no matter how big or small the task.

I’m also deeply passionate about what I do. When you truly love what you’re creating—whether it’s a set of customized crayons or a fun paint kit for kids—working hard doesn’t feel like a chore. It feels like purpose. I know that every product we send out has the potential to bring joy to a child, and that motivates me to give it my all every day.

Lastly, I get a lot of energy from my customers and their feedback. Hearing from moms, party planners, and teachers about how much kids enjoy our products really pushes me to keep improving and innovating. That connection fuels my drive to deliver something meaningful with each order.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?

I’m thrilled to share our story. Snazzy Dazzy Crayons started with the idea of bringing more joy and creativity to kids’ lives. As someone who’s always loved arts and crafts, I wanted to create something unique that would spark imagination in children. We customize crayons and paint kits in fun shapes and themes, making them perfect for birthday parties, gifts, and craft activities. It’s all about bringing joy and color to kids’ worlds.

I started Snazzy Dazzy Crayons because I wanted to combine my love for creativity with the joy of making kids happy. Being based in Arizona, I’ve been able to work closely with local communities, but we’ve also grown to reach customers across the country. The goal is always the same: to bring more color, creativity, and fun into children’s lives!

Our crayons are hand-crafted, and we create them in all sorts of fun shapes, from animals to holiday themes. They’re non-toxic and made with vibrant colors, so they’re safe for kids to use while inspiring creativity. We also offer customized paint kits, where kids can paint plaster figures. These kits are perfect for party activities or unique party favors. Whether it’s a jungle, space, or beach-themed party, we can customize the crayons and paint kits to match any theme!

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Looking back, I’d say there were three key qualities and skills that really made a difference in my journey with Snazzy Dazzy Crayons: creativity, resilience, and understanding my audience.

Creativity: Of course, creativity was at the heart of everything. Developing unique products like our customized crayons and paint kits required thinking outside the box. I learned that it’s important to be open to new ideas and to constantly experiment. My advice for others is to never be afraid to try something different and push the boundaries of your imagination. Stay curious and let your passions guide your creativity.

Resilience: Like any entrepreneurial journey, there were challenges along the way. Whether it was finding the right materials, learning how to run the business side of things, or overcoming setbacks, resilience was essential. My advice here is to embrace the ups and downs. Persistence pays off, and it’s important to stay focused on your goals, even when things get tough. Every challenge is an opportunity to learn and grow.

Understanding Your Audience: Knowing what brings joy to kids and what parents look for in party favors and crafts was key to creating products that resonate. I spent a lot of time researching, talking to customers, and making sure our products aligned with what families wanted. For anyone starting out, I’d recommend really diving into who your audience is. Listen to their needs, and don’t hesitate to adjust your products or services based on feedback. Building strong relationships with your customers is invaluable.

To improve in these areas, I encourage people to stay patient, keep learning, and always stay connected to your passion and purpose.

Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?
