We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Kristine Whitson. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Kristine below.
Kristine, we’re thrilled to have you on our platform and we think there is so much folks can learn from you and your story. Something that matters deeply to us is living a life and leading a career filled with purpose and so let’s start by chatting about how you found your purpose.
Playing on the front stand of a top American symphony orchestra, on stage in cities all over the world, all while struggling with severe performance anxiety uniquely prepared me to equip others who struggle.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
I am a certified Christian life coach specializing in anxiety/stress management, and performance mindset. I take the mental, physical and spiritual tools I’ve used effectively in my 3 decades as a professional violinist, and share them with musicians, athletes, housewives, ballet dancers, artists, executives, public speakers, and anyone who just wants to get BETTER.
I take clients through a collaborative process of 1) clarifying where they are, and where they want to be
2) brainstorming a strategy 3) providing troubleshooting and accountability along the way.
If life is feeling chaotic; if you’re feeling a lack of purpose; or stuck in a procrastination cycle, coaching can be the catalyst for change and growth. It increases awareness, brings insight and new perspectives, through focused, directed, intentional steps.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Having a continual hunger to learn and improve has been vital for me. One of my goals is to be a life long learner.
There is no substitute for consistent, hard work: this is even more important than talent.

My ideal client is eager to take ownership of their situation, and take the next step toward higher ground!
