We were lucky to catch up with Krystal Moore recently and have shared our conversation below.
Krystal, we’ve been so fortunate to work with so many incredible folks and one common thread we have seen is that those who have built amazing lives for themselves are also often the folks who are most generous. Where do you think your generosity comes from?
My generosity stems from my deep faith, my dedication to my family and community, and my commitment to serving others. My actions reflect a heart that genuinely cares for the well-being and growth of those around me. While cliché, I live by and firmly believe in “treating others the way I wish to be treated,” and if “I have something, then you have it too.” I give from the overflow of what has been given to me. I intentionally do not hold on to things, knowledge, etc, but give it so that I can obtain more.
Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
Thank you for the opportunity to share my story. I am a dedicated nail professional with a passion for providing exceptional nail care services while educating current and aspiring technicians. Over the years, I’ve focused on creating a space where quality, creativity, and care come together to serve both the individual and the community. My work is driven by a commitment to excellence and a genuine desire to uplift others through education and artistry.
What excites me most is the transformative power of my work—not just in enhancing physical appearances but also in boosting confidence and fostering connections. I view nail care as an art form and a service, and I strive to blend creativity with care to make each experience unique and impactful.
Currently, I’m expanding my efforts to educate future nail technicians through workshops and training programs while exploring ways to extend my services to underserved communities. I’m also in the process of launching new, eco-friendly products that reflect my dedication to health and sustainability in beauty.
Ultimately, my mission is to build a brand that empowers individuals, promotes self-care, and makes a meaningful difference in the lives of others. Thank you for allowing me to share a piece of my journey.
There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Looking back, three qualities and skills that were most impactful in my journey are resilience, a commitment to excellence, and a willingness to learn and adapt. Each of these has shaped not only my career but also my approach to life and serving others.
1. Resilience
The ability to persevere through challenges and setbacks has been invaluable. In any journey, there will be moments of doubt, failure, or unforeseen obstacles. Staying grounded in your purpose and pressing forward despite difficulties can make all the difference.
Advice: Build resilience by embracing challenges as learning opportunities. Surround yourself with supportive people who encourage and uplift you during tough times.
2. Commitment to Excellence
Striving for excellence has helped me create a standard of quality and trust within my work. This mindset ensures that I deliver the best possible experience for clients and continually improve my skills.
Advice: Develop a habit of giving your best effort in all you do. Pay attention to details, seek feedback, and always look for ways to refine and grow in your craft.
3. Willingness to Learn and Adapt
The beauty industry—and life in general—is constantly evolving. Staying open to new ideas, techniques, and technologies has allowed me to remain relevant and innovative.
Advice: Never stop learning. Invest in professional development, stay curious, and embrace change as an opportunity to grow.
For those early in their journey, my biggest advice is to remain true to your vision while staying flexible in how you achieve it. Success is as much about the journey as the destination, so celebrate small victories, keep learning, and let your passion guide you.
Who is your ideal client or what sort of characteristics would make someone an ideal client for you?
My ideal client is bold, courageous, confident, self-aware. My ideal client is professional, poised, and humble. My ideal client is someone who values quality, creativity, and care. They understand that nail care is not just about aesthetics but also about self-care, health, and expression. Here are a few key characteristics that make someone an ideal client:
1. Appreciates Professionalism and Excellence
They value the time, skill, and dedication that goes into providing exceptional service. They trust my expertise and respect the process, allowing me to deliver my best work.
2. Open to Creativity and Collaboration
An ideal client enjoys exploring unique designs, techniques, or concepts, and they’re open to collaborating to create something special that reflects their style and personality.
3. Prioritizes Health and Self-Care
They care about the health of their nails and skin, embracing products and services that promote long-term well-being, not just immediate results.
4. Committed to Building Relationships
They value a professional relationship built on trust, communication, and mutual respect, creating a positive and enjoyable experience for both of us.
Ultimately, my ideal client is someone who sees nail care as more than a service—it’s an experience, an expression of self, and an investment in their well-being. Together, we create not only beautiful results but also a meaningful connection.
