Meet Kudra (nizar) Mohammed

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Kudra (nizar) Mohammed. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Kudra (Nizar) below.

Kudra (Nizar), first a big thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts and insights with us today. I’m sure many of our readers will benefit from your wisdom, and one of the areas where we think your insight might be most helpful is related to imposter syndrome. Imposter syndrome is holding so many people back from reaching their true and highest potential and so we’d love to hear about your journey and how you overcame imposter syndrome.

Imposter syndrome is something that’s always present, no matter what stage or height you reach in your life or career. It’s not something I’ve completely overcome, but rather something I manage actively. I’ve come to realize that these feelings are a sign that I’m pushing myself outside of my comfort zone, which is necessary for growth.

To manage imposter syndrome, I focus on a few key strategies. First, I remind myself of my accomplishments and the hard work I’ve put in to get where I am. I keep a record of milestones and use my younger self as my greatest motivation, which serves as a reality check when doubt creeps in.

Second, I read a lot and am always very mindful of what I consume—whether it’s social media, blogs, books, or even the music I listen to.

Lastly, I embrace continuous learning. By accepting that I don’t need to know everything and that it’s okay to seek help or admit when I’m unsure, I relieve the pressure to be perfect. This mindset allows me to focus on growth rather than perfection, which has been crucial in managing imposter syndrome as I lead and grow Nizarsline and other sectors of my career

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

Thank you for the opportunity to share my story. My name is Kudra Mohammed, also known as Nizar, and I’m the founder of Nizarsline, a fashion brand that reflects my journey as an entrepreneur, designer, and creative influencer. My career has always been a blend of passion and purpose, rooted in the belief that fashion is more than just clothing—it’s a form of self-expression, a statement of identity, and a way to empower others.

Nizarsline is a brand that embodies boldness, elegance, and the celebration of individuality. We focus on creating pieces that resonate with the modern, ambitious individual who isn’t afraid to stand out. Our latest collections, *The Souk Collection* and *The Bold Mogul Collection*, are our newest offerings. The *Bold Mogul Collection* reflects power and sophistication, designed for those who lead with style and confidence. The *Souk Collection* is inspired by the vibrant energy and rich culture of marketplaces, blending striking colors like magenta, black, pink, and white with intricate designs that tell a story of strength, confidence, and heritage. These collections mark significant milestones in Nizarsline’s journey, representing everything we stand for as a brand.

What excites me most about Nizarsline is how it allows me to blend creativity with entrepreneurship and leadership. As a designer, I’m constantly inspired by the world around me—traveling is essential to my life as I love integrating with different cultures and ways of life. From the vibrant energy of urban life, where I feel most alive, to the serene beauty of the countryside, which I visit often to recharge and find balance, these experiences shape the uniqueness of our designs and the stories they tell.

Professionally, I’m focused on expanding Nizarsline in North America while maintaining our headquarters in Africa. I’m looking to increase our presence on the runway and, as a marketing guru, I’m eager to collaborate with local brands in Saint Louis, whether through influencing or transforming their marketing strategies.

Charity work is also a significant part of my life. Under the Nizar Foundation, I’ve been working on borehole projects because I believe water is the most essential part of life. I also engage in tree planting and support such events annually, a passion rooted in my childhood dreams as a scout. Recently, I’ve become increasingly dedicated to cancer education through campaigns and social media over the past three years, and I’m committed to making a difference in this area.

I also have a strong desire to give back to the youth and am looking forward to returning to speaking and empowering events. Additionally, empowering women is a passion of mine, and I’m dedicated to supporting and uplifting women in their personal and professional lives.

As for what’s new, we’re in the final stages before launching a new line at Nizarsline that will bring a new dimension to the brand, and I am very excited about this. I’ve been working on a project for the past two years, and it’s finally coming together. I’m hopeful that we’ll launch it next year and am eager to see how it will further illuminate Nizarsline.

In addition, we’re exploring ways to bring our community closer, whether through events, collaborations, or expanding our online presence. The goal is to create more opportunities for people to engage with the brand and be part of the Nizarsline story.

In everything I do, I’m driven by a desire to inspire and uplift others, particularly those who, like me, are navigating the intersection of creativity and business. Nizarsline is more than just a brand; it’s a movement towards self-empowerment, and I’m excited to see where this journey takes us next.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Here’s the updated response with learning and unlearning included:

Reflecting on my journey with Nizarsline, four qualities stand out as being particularly impactful:

1. Resilience and Adaptability: Building a brand requires resilience and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances. Throughout my career, I’ve faced numerous challenges, from market fluctuations to the need to pivot strategies. Developing resilience involves embracing setbacks as learning opportunities and maintaining a flexible mindset. My advice is to build a strong support network, stay focused on your long-term goals, and be willing to adapt your approach as needed. This includes being open to learning from mistakes and unlearning strategies that no longer serve your growth.

2.Consistency and Strategic Thinking:
Consistency in delivering quality and maintaining your brand’s vision is crucial. Alongside consistency, strategic thinking and business acumen are essential for growth. Understanding market trends, financial management, and effective marketing strategies are key to advancing your brand. For those starting out, investing time in learning business fundamentals is invaluable. Consider taking courses, seeking mentorship, and gaining experience in various business aspects to build a strong foundation. Continuously learn and adapt your strategies, and unlearn practices that may hinder your progress.

3. Creativity and Innovation: Creativity has been the cornerstone of my journey. It’s not just about designing beautiful pieces but also about thinking outside the box and continually innovating to stay ahead in the fashion industry. For those early in their journey, I’d advise nurturing your creativity by seeking inspiration from diverse sources, experimenting with new ideas, and staying curious. Engage with different art forms, travel, and immerse yourself in varied experiences to fuel your creative vision. Embrace both learning new techniques and unlearning outdated practices to stay relevant and fresh.

One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?

Yes, absolutely! I’m always eager to collaborate with others because I firmly believe that when people come together, great things happen. Collaboration fosters creativity, innovation, and success—we are stronger when we uplift each other.

I’m particularly looking to collaborate with photographers and videographers who share a passion for capturing the essence of fashion and storytelling through visuals. I’ve been searching for a personal content creator partner who can help with video and photo editing, as maintaining consistency in our content is crucial, especially with the many exciting product launches we have planned for the coming year.

I’m also on the lookout for models who embody the boldness and elegance of Nizarsline, as well as businesses—whether small or large—interested in elevating their online marketing strategies. Collaboration in marketing can create powerful synergies that lead to transformative results.

Additionally, I’m interested in connecting with speakers who are passionate about creating impactful events and talks, particularly those that align with my values of empowerment and giving back.

If you’re reading this and feel that we could create something amazing together, I’d love to connect! You can reach out to me through my instagram : nizars_kingdom and let’s explore how we can collaborate to make a meaningful impact.
