We recently connected with Kwazar Martin and have shared our conversation below.

Kwazar, appreciate you making time for us and sharing your wisdom with the community. So many of us go through similar pain points throughout our journeys and so hearing about how others overcame obstacles can be helpful. One of those struggles is keeping creativity alive despite all the stresses, challenges and problems we might be dealing with. How do you keep your creativity alive?

I keep my creativity alive by staying opening minded. I have certain people I study mainly fashion designers. The have a different way of seeing thing. Nigo, Jeff Staple etc.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

Well I’m a street artist and I use spray cans as my medium. I’ve made pieces as small as 24×30 to 35ft x 40ft. Honestly my brand is still in it’s going phase and with me doing a skateboard line,character for my toy lin, murals and album covers people can take many things from it so I don’t think have a specific about the way the brand looks. Aside from thinking outside the box. I’ve been cover by Time magazine, NYT, Indystar, USA today ,Vaildated magazine,ESPN and Goodmorning American.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

I think it’s about my journey and so many ups and downs. For prison to working a project for Tesla. With all the odds stack my mind always figure a way as part of me surviving every situation.

Thanks so much for sharing all these insights with us today. Before we go, is there a book that’s played in important role in your development?

Reading a book about genius’s and inventors. I came across Galileo Galilei and the stance he took against the world as being an individual. The said the earth was round when the world said it was flat and stood by it. He was penalized for being right but never changed his answer. It was about principal. I’ll stand alone and be right rather than take the easy route to make the world comfortable.
