Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Kyle Benjammin . We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Kyle , we’re thrilled to have you sharing your thoughts and lessons with our community. So, for folks who are at a stage in their life or career where they are trying to be more resilient, can you share where you get your resilience from?
I think my resilience comes from my upbringing. At times through out my childhood I witnessed my parents struggling, but no matter what obstacles they faced they always found a way to make it to the next week.
Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
My Name Is Kyle Benjammin, I am a Independent Hip Hop Artist from Utah. I started my Journey over 10 years ago as a kid trying to fit in with his peers in elementary school.
Since then I’ve had collaborations with Artists such as King Iso, Stevie Stone, Alonda Rich etc. And have went on 5 national tours across the country including one Headlining Tour.
My Music is influenced by artists such as Tech N9ne, Kendrick Lamar, Eminem.
You can listen to my music on all platforms, And from now to the end of 2023 I will be dropping a new single every month so subscribe to stay up to date!
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
If I had to pick 3 qualities that were the most impactful to my journey the 3 qualities I would pick would be,
1. Self Sufficiency, when I started learning how to record my music myself, I started making huge strides towards my goals.
2. Consistency, I believe now days becoming consistent is arguably one of the most important qualities to have.
Because the internet offers so many distractions, the more a person sees your content the more likely they are to begin watching on a regular basis.
3. Persistency, being persistent towards your goals is important because as the saying goes “You miss every shot you don’t take.” As long as your making steps towards your goal you’ll always be further then where you started.
Looking back over the past 12 months or so, what do you think has been your biggest area of improvement or growth?
I would have to say becoming more consistent with dropping my music has been a major improvement for me.
And enrolling in school for sound engineering has helped give me the confidence to release my music myself.
