Meet Kyle Roig

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Kyle Roig. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Kyle, we’re thrilled to have you sharing your thoughts and lessons with our community. So, for folks who are at a stage in their life or career where they are trying to be more resilient, can you share where you get your resilience from?

Resilience, for me, comes from both my parents and the game of golf.

My dad has always been one of the hardest-working people I know. Whether it was in his sport, where he played professional volleyball, or in his career, he faced every challenge head-on, never backed down, and always found a way to succeed. He not only persevered but also knew how to connect with people, adapt, and rise to the top.

My mom’s resilience showed in a different way. She moved from Puerto Rico to Brazil with two young children, leaving behind everything familiar to start a new life in a country with a different language, culture, and way of life. It wasn’t easy. There were moments of uncertainty and sacrifice, but she never let it break her spirit. She built a loving, stable home for us, and looking back, I realize just how much strength it took. Because of her, my childhood never felt anything less than happy and blessed.

Golf has also played a huge role in shaping my resilience. It is a sport that constantly tests you, no matter how skilled or prepared you are. I know this firsthand. I went from being the number two amateur in the world to falling outside the top 100 after college. That was a difficult and humbling experience, but it never made me lose confidence. I put in the work, climbed my way back up, and proved to myself that I could compete at the highest level again.

Playing on the LPGA and Ladies European Tour taught me resilience in every sense. Competing at the highest level meant constant challenges, traveling nonstop, adjusting to different courses and conditions, and handling the pressure of performing against the best in the world. There were tough days, but I learned to push through setbacks, trust my abilities, and stay focused on my goals.

That same mindset carried over into my business life. Building my own company in a male-dominated sport and industry required the same perseverance, patience, and self-belief that golf has instilled in me for years. Resilience isn’t just about pushing through challenges. It is about trusting yourself through the highs and lows, knowing that setbacks don’t define you, and having the courage to keep going no matter what. That is what my parents taught me, and that is what golf has reinforced every step of the way.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

I am deeply involved in the golf world as both a former professional player and an entrepreneur. I run Luxe Golf Concierge, a high-end golf travel company that curates unforgettable experiences at some of the best courses in the world. From bucket-list trips to Ireland and Scotland to exclusive ladies’ golf retreats, my goal is to create seamless, luxury golf experiences for players who want more than just a round of golf—they want memories that last a lifetime.

What excites me most about what I do is the opportunity to bring people together through golf. Whether it’s a women’s retreat where lifelong friendships are made, a group of friends finally playing St. Andrews for the first time, or a golfer checking off a dream course from their list, I love seeing how golf creates connections and unforgettable moments.

What I feel is most special about Luxe Golf Concierge is that there is finally a company catering to women’s needs in the golf space. Women are looking for more than just golf—they want fun experiences, new friendships, exciting adventures, and value. Whether they are traveling solo, with a group of friends, or looking to meet other like-minded women, we create opportunities for them to feel welcomed, included, and inspired through the game.

Looking ahead, I have some exciting projects in the works. Luxe Golf Concierge is expanding its women’s golf offerings, with new retreats and unique experiences designed to grow the game for female players. I’m also hosting tournaments that bring players from Europe and the U.S. together in a Ryder Cup or Solheim Cup-style format. Whether it’s an international competition or an East vs. West American Cup, we are creating fun and competitive new experiences for our female clients.

At the heart of everything I do is the belief that golf should be more than just a game. It should be an experience, an opportunity, and a passion that anyone can enjoy.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

Looking back, three qualities that have been most impactful in my journey are resilience, relationship-building, and adaptability.

Resilience has been key in both my playing career and my business, especially as a woman working in a male-dominated space. Golf has traditionally been a sport and industry led by men, but I never let that intimidate me. Whether it was competing at the highest level, starting my own business, or negotiating deals, I learned to stand my ground, prove my value, and create opportunities where they didn’t previously exist. For those early in their journey, resilience comes from trusting yourself, learning from challenges, and staying committed even when the odds seem stacked against you.

Relationship-building has also played a huge role in my success. From competing in professional golf to running a business, the connections I have made along the way have been invaluable. Surrounding yourself with the right people, being genuine, and always bringing value to others will open doors you never expected. My advice is to invest in your relationships, not just for what they can do for you, but for the mutual support and opportunities that naturally come from strong connections.

Adaptability is another skill that has shaped my path. The ability to adjust, pivot, and embrace change has helped me navigate the ups and downs of both sports and business. Nothing ever goes exactly as planned, but those who succeed are the ones who stay open-minded and find ways to evolve. My advice is to stay curious, be willing to learn, and view challenges as opportunities to grow.

At the end of the day, success is rarely a straight path. The more you can build resilience, nurture relationships, and stay adaptable, the more prepared you will be for whatever comes your way.

Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?

Yes, I am always looking for great people and brands to partner and collaborate with. Luxe Golf Concierge is all about creating unique, high-end golf experiences, and I love working with those who share a passion for growing the game, especially for women.

I am interested in collaborating with golf courses, resorts, and destinations that want to attract more female players, as well as brands in the golf, travel, and lifestyle spaces that align with the experiences we create. I also love partnering with former professional players, instructors, and industry leaders who bring value to the events and retreats we host.

If you are reading this and interested in collaborating, I would love to connect. You can reach out to me directly through Luxe Golf Concierge’s website or social media, or send an email to discuss how we can work together.
