Meet kym De Los Reyes

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Kym De Los Reyes a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Kym, so great to have you with us and we want to jump right into a really important question. In recent years, it’s become so clear that we’re living through a time where so many folks are lacking self-confidence and self-esteem. So, we’d love to hear about your journey and how you developed your self-confidence and self-esteem.
I have a great faith. I believe I am made to create! I have such confidence that I am right where I need to be in this season of my life. I am also an focusing on God’s faithfulness and the fearless self esteem that couples that knowing I am 100% wonderfully made!

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
I just moved into a new large studio to accommodate my growing business. It is so gratifying to be making a living doing what I love. I feel so grateful for my new studio and the chance to spread out! It is located in Murrieta CA and is open for appointments only! I’d love to have collectors come by to see the work in person. This studio allows me to entertain collectors quite nicely!

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
3 qualities that I believe are essential to this career is 1. A thick skin. The ability to bounce off criticism and rejection. Its not personal, it’s business.
2. Tenacity. I don’t give up. It’s important to keep moving forward always.
3. Patience. This is one I’m working on. Growth and success doesn’t happen over night. Waiting on God’s perfect timing in all thing work & business related is hard for me. But I’m growing in this quality. Good things take time.

Before we go, maybe you can tell us a bit about your parents and what you feel was the most impactful thing they did for you?
My parents have me freedom and confidence by fostering my creative nature and encouraging me to pursue what I was called to do. I’m forever grateful for my parents. They always made me feel so encouraged by their endless support.
